I still want to understand what makes cross River a South South state.
I'm not contesting who they are or what they are but where in geography has their position on the map been named South South despite located on the eastern edge of the map.

Of course, if Edo is South South, how about Anambra and Imo states

I think the yardstick used is that they don't have locals who speak Igbo. Igbo is the common language spoken in the state capital of all the South East states.

That cannot be said of Cross River's Calabar that probably has many languages than any state in southern Nigeria.
