Good evening all.

Please I need help

Since last week Friday I've be having unstable network on my MTN line on Redmi 8.

The network comes on for like an hour and goes off till the next day.

I don't know if it's the problem is from the phone or the SIM.

I had a chat with MTN customer support and the rep said the SIM could be damaged. I wonder how?

Please has anyone experienced such and how can I go about solving the issue.

When a sim have too much scratch on it...the network fluctuate, and gives the phone network place problem that might later affect the phone.
Secondly it should be the problem of removing and putting back of the sim in a phone!
Otherwise i will also say....check your phone network output,it might be the problem.
Sometimes phone network do spoil.

I also did experience network fluctuations on my Redmi from yesterday till now. Sim is a new one and I don't remove my sim. I called mtn customer care still having the issue.

Simply test weather it is the phone that is problematic or the SIM.
Get another network SIM that is available in your area and leave it in the phone for a day. If same thing happened, then get the phone checked and if otherwise, go and swap your mtn SIM to a new one after confirming from other mtn users in your area that they too don't experience same network instability.
