Consolidation is very important in politics! I don't belong to any political party. In fact by my assessment, both candidates presented by the two leading political parties in the just concluded guber election in Osun are not competent to lead my state. However, APC must learn CONSOLIDATION. Below is the Excerpt of an article published sometimes last month which also addressed the issue.

"Last minute reunion of party members after months of disputes was instrumental to the success of APC in the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State. The current political atmosphere in Osun shows clearly that APC must do everything necessary to put its house in order to mitigate the looming effect of spoiler - prone voting order in the July 16th governorship election. Governor Gboyega Oyetola is in a good position to unfold the much-awaited reunion of the aggrieved parties. He should make last minute moves, create soft landings, make sacrifices and heal the wounds. He should remediate all acts of ingratitude - "ingratitude is a political sin". He should initiate urgent reconciliation with his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

A US politician, Republican DJ Johnson, lost his seat in the state’s legislature by one vote (to Democrat Jim Glen) in the 2018 US midterm elections. One vote can make a difference in Osun July 16th governorship election, especially in this era of electronic transmission of results. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s effect in Osun politics is in hundreds of thousand – not one vote, you would agree! The damage may be inescapable for APC at all levels if Governor Gboyega Oyetola & his teeming supporters chose to go into the governorship election with the persistent squabbles in Osun APC. Governor Babajide Sanwoolu - led campaign council saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the re-election of Gboyega Oyetola cannot make a difference in Osun July 16th Governorship election through the PVCs of the members of its council. I hope APC and her presidential flag bearer in the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, realize Osun is one of the states that put the party in a good position ahead 2023 Presidential election – it must not fall into the hands of the opposition.
