I wasn't too happy when I wrote this...
Funny how the world feigns care and love
When you're gone but show you the worst while you're here...

You cannot really explain it

You cannot explain It

when they say Hi,
How are you?, You say fine
But are you?
So you tell yourself quickly
I cannot explain this feeling
when I wake up with no zeal
no excitement, nothing brings appeal
to this raging thoughts of despair
So you hid the raging pain like dirty underwear.

When they say why
You reply why me?, Why this?
God gives his soldiers the toughest battles
who said you wanted a uniform with troubles
who said you were not comfortable unrattled
so when the first one left
you said it's well
well enough till the next one left
you stay alone and wept
you flourished in your fears
That soon another bond would be severed
and how right you were
so you ask again
Why me?, but all you get is a loud silence

When they say what's up?
You ask who's up?, They reply with what's down
You say the loved ones you let down...
You rephrase the loved ones cut down...
Cut down before you could plead for a showdown
but death doesn't fight fair
so he snatched your daughter when you were unaware instead
killed your brother while he slept
and now all you see when you look at dirt
is the pathway that leads nowhere but hurt

When they say are you okay upstairs?
You ask what's left up there?
Memories of my daughter, brother and sisters
A vivid picture of me losing to their killers....

Rest in Peace Ada Ameh
In a Nation where so many things were wrong, you fought for what was right and stayed strong despite your mental health issues.
I believe you're in a better place.
