To the big devs in here
I have a problem
I'm learning programming though I'm still a beginner
So far I've learnt html css and some css frameworks
But the major aspect is the financial aspect
So while you guys were learning
How did you guys sorted out the finance aspect
I'm thinking of getting a job but it might be stressful?

Hmmm I am really glad you consider me as a big programmer. That is flattering. I am still a bloody junior dev. As for finances I was lucky to have my mom supporting me while I was learning to code. She paid for internet and there was food at home. I wasn't working or anything. I think I had less than 50 naira in my bank account by the time I got my first programming job. I did a job on upwork prior to learning programming and that money went on buying the laptop I used to learn to code then.

Finance is also the main issue for me. It's not easy out here.

Lol! You are a big programmer Tensa. Big doesn't mean you job title bro. You have a big heart. A very major influencer on these NL tech streets. You pure devotion to DSA is enough motivation for a lot of youngings. If on these streets you came out and said "Hey guys, y'all need to focus on Assembly Language" believe me a sizeable number of devs will whip out assemblers and start Loading AX,BX.

LoL the younglings have a lot of opportunities now and those opportunities are dsa focused. In August it was Amazon, bloomberg Is presently in lagos to recruit recent graduates and the major screening is hackkerank with dsa based questions. More companies are coming. It's just the truth I give them here.

You just have to be patient. They happen to be selective of late. So some are reluctant to apply

I'm not a big dev.

Like Tensa, have someone or your family buy/key into your dream.

It won't be easy (in Nigeria) working and then staying all night or till late night learning to code. If even you devote to learn full time it's not easy.

So set out a plan of say 6 - 1 year to learn and get a paying intern role to start with.

Present your plan to that person or your fam buying into your dream.

Else, maybe get a teaching/cafe or computer center job.
