At 29, I am jobless, without any tangible skills or handiwork. A university drop out, broke, jobless and from a very poor background.

I have 5 siblings of which I am the first child. It has been over 2 years since I visited my parents and country home out of shame over my failure. I survive here in lagos by doing all kinds of menial jobs. It is true that I brought all these upon myself but I am seeking a change in my life, many lives depend on it.

Please dear nairanders, if there is anybody that has a piece of advice, or help (in any form) that can change my life, I will forever remain indebted to that person.

my friend go back and complete your medical school and stop wasting your time and your life!

if funding is your problem, go learn a good tech skill like phone and laptop fixing and use it to sponsor yourself thru school.

the first step of beating yourself up is looking at your age.
You still have about 50 active years remaining, learn a soft skill online there are thousands jobs online, start today.

At 29, it's too early to call yourself a failure.

Like, you've only failed at one thing (medical school)

Some of us from very very humble background didn't have the hope of ever going to the university even while writing WAEC...but God is helping us achieve goals and dreaming big today.

There's a problem with you attributing your problems to dropping out of school.. But the real PROBLEM IS WHY DID YOU DROP OUT OF SCHOOL?

has that problem also metamorphosed into other habits that's making you unmotivated to try out other things?

The question is, do you really want to change your story? And are you willing to do every LEGAL THING possible to achieve your ambition for success?

Then you gotta put pride aside and start from somewhere. It's easier to start from scratch at 29yrs than to let the pride of youth keep you from starting now, Only to try starting at 40

Going back to school (if you are still interested) requires funding, check and calculate how much it will cost you then work towards it.

Stay away from people who won't encourage you (they always have something negative to say to you)

Avoid any kind of distraction and stay focused on your goal

Don't listen to what people say so far it is not going to help you....
