The term “cabling” has not been commonly used until the invention of the internet. The infrastructure of internet consists of cables and wires that are essentially used to connect the various online systems like computers, printers, routers and other devices. Cabling is used for transmitting data from one system to another. The definition of cabling has been described in the telecom field as a transmission media that connects two or more locations for information transfer. These include wires, fiber-optic cables, structured cabling and coaxial cables.
