How did Igbos insult Yorubas? Yes Obi supporters may have insulted Tinubu and other presidential aspirants but I don't see where tribe came in. Is Tinubu Yoruba? Peter Obi and Obidients were insulted too. It only became an issue when the likes of Brymo and co said an Igbo can not be the president of Nigeria that the highest they can get is vice. Is it good?

The trade done in Kano or Aba can't be compared to that of Lagos. There's a difference between coming to buy wares and going back home to sell them to being in a place and making it your domicile or even just residence. That's why we have citizenship by naturalization. That's what Lagos is to many Nigerians not just the Igbo.
Okay even with the "No man's land" assertion, Igbos still know their place in Lagos that's why you will never see any Igbo with enough balls to contest for the governor of Lagos, they merely support.
APC created this mindset in you guys just to help them win and it's just it. Onanuga was warning Igbos to stop interfering in Lagos politics and all of you pounced on those supporting your brother GRV but forgot that many Igbos are interfering in APC like Joe Igbokwe but APC never had a problem with that. Igbos attacked yorubas to promote obi. Align your thoughts properly sir. LP was never an igbo movement and you know it. Politicians only tried to make it look so. In aggregate they are way more non igbos supporting LP from plateau to even Lagos.

Right from when I was growing up, when we started watching Nollywood. Two things were said about Lagos.

One which is "Lagos is a no man's land" which has it's root in the fact that Lagos is a city of commerce where people from multiple ethnicity converge to do some sort of business due to lagos being a point of contact to Nigeria for many business people bringing goods into the country. This was never an issue.

Secondly it is said when you are entering lagos you see "This is lagos" unlike other places where you see "Welcome to xyz". Never been to lagos, don't know how true this is but this saying was popular because Lagos is seen as a place you have to be "sharp" to make it.

Fast forward to the general election 2023. Election in Lagos involving two Yoruba Lagos indigenes. No position from house of assembly to the governorship election has an igbo man contesting.

I've been trying to put two and two together and it is still not making any sense. When did igbos claim Lagos all of a sudden last week? So much that it warranted an attack? The saying Lagos is a no man's land is older than some people that will reply to this post. Why do people easily play into the hands of politicians. The same people overseeing their suffering. Who are the main benefactors of this chaos? Is it you supporting this chaos because I am damn sure it is not. After the election, you and those you are attacking both verbally and physically will go back to suffering the same consequences of bad governance.

The truth is the inflammatory statement was amplified by APC to secure Sanwo olu's 2nd term. Especially after Obi's win in Lagos. Same Sanwo olu that y'all fight for was the same one that promised Igbos that one day their son would be Governor of Lagos. My point is never allowed politicians use you to hate another. If Igbos would have voted APC, trust me all this tussle over who owns Lagos wouldn't have come up even if Igbos sing Lagos is a no man's land as a song they would join in the chorus.

I support LP and OBi but I don't support GRV, reason because I think the Ibo and Yoruba thing is partly fueled by GRV himself, as a political figure the things he said in the past came back to haunt him, GRV himself is a bigoted soul against his own father's side. I went back to see all he's written in the past and he was always attacking his father's side. Conspicuously he ignited the Ibo/Yoruba war thing. No matter how you compare North with the South whether positive or negative we can still say Lagos has always accommodated all tribes. You will find major IBOs and other tribes in the civil services here and there in Lagos, GRV only awoke the subconscious mind of the Yorubas living in Lagos. I don't know how true but I heard that even in the east they will hardly sell their land to Yorubas, GRV even said on live TV, that I don't reason in Yoruba, he even responded to Adeboyes tweet saying "Typical yoruba behavior". How can you say such rubbish against your fathers side on a public space, you that call yourself a political figure. He kinda even hates his father's side and showing it with lots of disgust.
