Who applies more precision, scientists or engineers? This is no doubt an arguable topic however, both professions seem to apply a degree of precision. My colleague Edison, an engineer, says "An engineer deals more with precision" while Thomas, a scientist says "no! a scientist is more with precision". Pause, let's discuss more. Science is a systematic endeavor that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. Engineering, on the other hand, is the use of scientific principles to design and build machines, structures, and other items, including bridges, tunnels, roads, vehicles, and buildings. A scientist asks the question "Why?" by constructing explanations, while an engineer defines problems by answering "How?" and designing solutions. Simply put, engineering is the direct application of science - precision and accuracy comes directly from the engineering application of science! So, both the engineer and the scientist apply precision. What are your thoughts about this?
