I have paid about 500,000 naira to one man of God as part of my tithe. He gave me prophecies that some great blessings will come my way soon. It's over a year now and I don't see any tangible progress as he said. I have stopped paying my tithe to him and I am paying my tithe to my church now.

I want to ask him to refund my tithe and if he refuse, I will take him to court.

Do you think asking for refund of tithe is a sin?

It was based on promise. The tithe were directly transferred to his personal account with Eco Bank.

If you have evidence, why not?

But make sure you haven't used any of the Church's property because that will amount to you benefitting from the tithe and what it has been used for, yet trying to retrieve the tithe.

If you report this case in his time you should be arrested and detained for defamation of character because he never promised you he's the one to bless you rather it's God's promise that you're trying to tap through BRIBERY in the name of "TITHES"
