SPAD To Gov. Soludo, Dr. Omenugha Marks His Birthday With The Physically Challenged In Awka.

The Special Adviser To Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programme, Dr. Nelson Omenugha has paid a visit to a home for children with disability as part of celebrating his birthday this year.

Dr. Nelson who went in the company of his wife, Mrs Chidera Omenugha and Representative of the physical challenged from the Anambra Chapter of National Youth Council Of Nigeria visited God's Care School For Special Need Children at Amanyi in Awka.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Omenugha expressed his happiness and thank God for granting him the opportunity to witness the day and celebrate his birthday day with the children. He stated that he is one who believes that there is ability even in disability, noting that the Soludo led administration has also resolved to carry everyone along as they have been able to equiped some appreciable number of the virtual impaired with digital skills to enable them communicate easily and compete in the digital world.

According to him, nothing is impossible, if they are determined to succeed. He encouraged the children to be hopeful of a brighter future and promised to support the children learning by sorting out modalities to integrate them into the "one youth, two skills" programme".

He also appreciated the effort of the school care givers and assured them of continuous support and intervention on his part and that of the state government.

Appreciating the school manager, Mr. Afamefuna Uchenna Ndife while expressing his gratitude to God, thanked Dr. Nelson for remembering their school.

Recounting the school challenges since inception in 2002, Mr. Afamefuna seek more government intervention in order to meet up with the ever rising responsibility of taking care of the growing number of children noting that the the Wife of the Governor and the Commissioner for Women Affairs has been of immense assistance so far.

He prayed for more blessings and protection for Dr. Nelson and promised continues prayers for the family and the government to succeed.

Cutting of cake, special prayer session, presentation of crafts by the students and gift items by Dr Omenugha add color to the day.
