OP, I understand you are trying to help. However, I would advise that no one should download GT world from Aptoide or any other third party source, as Aptoide is known for injecting trackers on the apps hosted in its store.

Moreover, the issues around the new version of GT world, like inability to log in, make transfer, and general navigation around the app have been resolved from the backend.

This is a big risk on your part, the bank will not be liable, supportive, or even welcome any complaints of fraud on your account as a result of using such an app. Installing apk from third-party sites is a very big risk on its own, let alone installing apk for that can perform financial transactions. Many of them are intrusive and backdoored. I recommend not doing this at all to avoid stories that touch.
