For my final project, I am creating an independent web application that connects volunteers with disadvantaged individuals in slums and marginalised communities in Nigeria. The goal is to provide access to education, skills, and other valuable knowledge to those who lack such opportunities. The web application will serve as a platform where volunteers can volunteer to teach skills in their area of expertise to individuals in those marginalised communities. Volunteering opportunities are posted openly on the application and can be posted by anyone that visits the application. But if you choose to volunteer, you can register on the platform and have access to your dashboard. I have been using firestore as my database to handle authentication and every other feature that needs storage. From this dashboard, you can access an opportunities page which gives you access to opportunities openly posted on the app. You can then choose to volunteer on the app or not and you can also view other users who have volunteered on the application. I have also added a messaging feature on the application that lets you message other volunteers on the application. There is also a page that lets you input your impact reports for opportunities you have volunteered for and a leaderboard that records the top volunteers per hours.

I met with my supervisor recently and he did not seem super impressed, and he said it lacks complexity and still needs some features to make it 'extraordinary'. Which is why I am here asking for suggestions of features I could add to the application to make it better and more 'complex'.
