I am increasingly persuaded that any massive US attack against Iranian surrogate forces in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq will almost certainly include a…

Russia isn't a wild card in the region, they are totally focused militarily in Ukraine, they can't provide sufficient air support or naval support in the event of any conflict in the region. The best they can do is join forces with the terrorists in that area against NATO.

🧵 Bibi's Days Are Numbered

Those calling the shots in Washington want Netanyahu out.

They have been strongly criticizing Israel's scorched earth policy in Gaza, and are pressing for a "humanitarian cease-fire".

Of course, the US isn't genuinely bothered by Israel killing people in Gaza. They simply want Israel to kill different people: those who constitute the military potential of Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran.

But many in Israel recognize that facing north is a fool's errand — and one that would almost certainly be extremely costly.

Israel is not prepared to prosecute the kind of high-intensity war that would be required to defeat its enemies to the north.

And they also now realize, if they did not previously, that the US is incapable of supplying them (or anyone else) with the means to sustain high-intensity warfare.

Nevertheless, the US continues to concentrate in the region as much power as it can currently cobble together.

Because, as I have argued for months now: having seen its designs in Ukraine go awry, the #EmpireAtAllCosts cult is now feeling extreme pressure to find and fight a war it can win, and thereby (they imagine) arrest the decline of their rapidly eroding military prestige.

The problem, however, is that there are no more "easy wars" left to fight. And although they're going to need to find a tall ladder, Iran is the lowest-hanging fruit remaining on the tree of imperial conquest.

So Bibi must go, and someone else installed who will do what must be done to serve the empire's last-gasp grasp for immortality.

🧵 No More Easy Wars Left to Fight

The US is working hard to dissuade Israel from attempting to reduce Gaza to rubble and ashes via a ground invasion.

The #EmpireAtAllCosts cult would much prefer that the IDF serve as a proxy to attack and severely degrade Iran's surrogates in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.

Having expended their #MotherOfAllProxyArmies in Ukraine without achieving the objective of weakening Russia, the Masters of Empire have lowered their sights and now aspire to expel Iranian power from the Levant.

Indeed, if Israel will provide the meat, the US promises to bring air and naval assets to the party.

Of course, with good reason, the Israelis are not super-duper enthusiastic about taking on Hezbollah and all those in the neighborhood eager to join the fray. The IDF has already lost more than a few Merkava tanks and several soldiers to ATGM ambushes over the past couple weeks.

Alas, 1967 was a long time ago.

Even 2006 was a long time ago. Since then, Hezbollah et al. have grown significantly stronger, even as the capability of the IDF to engage in high-intensity combat has eroded commensurately.

For the empire and its vassals, there are no more "easy" wars left to fight.

And if the US aims to drive the Iranians back east of the Tigris, they will have to shed a lot of exceptional American blood to do it.

Most concerningly, they will inevitably run into the Russians along the way.

Interesting days ahead.
I am enjoying your thread bro.
I am still a bit skeptical about Iran being able to defeat isreal because attacking wise, I feel isreal has better air force than Iran and defence wise, again isreal has this iron dome while I don't know if Iran has any to protect her.

Israel is not Iran's target, US is. Besides, that airforce stuff is mostly a mirage. A country like Iran with dense Air defence, even US cannot defeat them. But Iran has air force o.

So Iran wants to go head on with US? Is that not going to be a herculean task?
Anyway, let's see how everything unfolds

I don't think it's not so much as what Iran wants but what US has been wanting to do. It's been their foreign policy for decades. Of all the countries in the ME, Iran is the only one they cannot conquer.

US supported and funded Iraq to fight Iran. Then after Iraq was weaken from the war, US went ahead and destroyed Iraq. If Iran was that easy to take on, US would have done it since.

Hmmmmmmmm

Let's see how things go.
UN has accused isreal of using phosphorus bomb on Gaza residents.
I hope they will be bold to sanction them now

let's just say military wise especially in terms of equipment, Iran is just like Francis Nganou. You might beat them but, they'll surely touch you well

Israel has been committing war crime for decades against the Palestinians. No body has held them accountable yet, until now.
