These schools were all built by the sweat of the church members who kept sowing seeds, special offering seeds, first fruit seed, redemption seed, thanks giving seed, harvest seed, tithes, pastors birthday seed, church building seed, evangelism seed, father’s day seed, mother’s day seed, children day seed, pastors cake seed, olive oil seed, etc. These schools are now elite schools, only for the rich politician’s children. The gainers then use the proceeds to buy private plane and jets to fly up high in luxury while their members sleep hungry and the next Sunday, they will read Malachi 3:6-12

The question is, is this actually right?

Have they started forcing people to buy admission forms or choose schools?

These schools are built on the backs of the poor and yet the same poor cannot afford to attend them.

Then we have some wolf followers who will boast about how the pastor gave scholarshiop to 10 students. What !!!!

What about the thousands out there.

This is sickening and pathetic .

We should be careful how we criticise the body of christ. How much information do you have about the schools, the vision, the purpose and how money was raised. Either through  partners; foreign and local. banks or church offerings. These things can be sinful.

If a church runs a business, it runs by itself ,not by church offerings. Most times a loan is raised probably with church property as collateral. But the business runs on it's own To pay off the loan with time. Will they make school fees free? Who will pay the loan and interest.

The second thing we should look at is ; What is the purpose and vision of the school?  Is a church is moved by the poor quality of education  and dream of a school of standard and well equipped ,that's a vision and purpose. If you want such quality education you pay for it and give God thanks for such excellent vision. Instead of running abroad.Students have to pay for it.

But if the vision was driven by passion to make education available for less privileged , then we can talk of free education and cheap schools.  If a church announces cheap education and changes the story later, that will be dishonesty. But if the vision was quality,then we must pay. Quality cost. It's not by bringing the fees down it's by raising our faith high.

If a pastor Gave scholarship to 10 students you should commend him. He did something! . You what are you doing? You can't hold your pocket and be pointing fingers on how another person should spend his money. He is accountable to God by himself.

So much tithe threads posted this few days. @jeagbaje, u shouldnt sound that way. U re a postor i know u re doing some defensive work, try to look into things as the flocks do. Tithing is for God, what hurt is how pastors miss used the money.
There are clear evidence of much poverty in the congregations.

it is very sad when we keep defending the greed of most of our pastors.
Manny of them attended Baptist boys, Methodist boys and girls, Ansar ru deen, catholic mission shools etc, if the Christain folks of those days make money from eduating poor nigerians, many of our pastors will be farmers or palm wine tappers.
@Jo Agbaje, so, the church should build and promote educational institutions for the aim of profit whereas most of the people that patronise such innstitutions are very evil people.
Maybe, when the BIG M.O.G or god of men die, they should take the money to heaven ooo.
or maybe we can ask Idahosa or Gabriel Oduyemi and others, the safest bank in heaven.
