Sorry if this feels stupid i kknow i can check Google apparently nothing breaks it down for me, i'm looking into something like a chat app excpt rather than using Ajax to poll the server, i want the server to push changes in real time to the client, i know its possible in Flex but my Flex/actionScript knowledge is not that superb at, HTML5 has Websockets but not in all browsers i know its possible with PHP not sure how, if someone has a breakdown on it from any link i'd appreciate it. One thing i should just mention is that there is no direct way to get php to push data to the client without the client having requested it, there are only hacks to go around it.

I think i get the concept now unlike ajax that sends a request to the browser for new data, in this one a connection will be constant, so its like ajax from the other side. the article you sent gave a good detailed explanation but its for HTML5, i will try that out today. thanks bro i left a gift on your Juploader for helping me out. will get back to you when i have done something.
