Pls tech guys what do u advice I do? I sold my ipad mini 3 to someone the screen was damaged when I sold it but I'm unable to provide the buyer with the Apple ID credentials to remove the activation lock.

Unfortunately, I haven't used the iPad in over a year and i have forgotten my Apple ID password. I'm unable to reset the password cus apple is saying what I dint even understand.

Now the guy that bought it said he fixed the screen 50k. now plus the 12k I initially sold it to him total is 62k.he wants to sell it back to me for 62k.

is there anything I can do regarding the cost or how to minimize the cost.Now I'm in sadness imagine ipad I sold for 12k I have to buy it back for 60k...

Do you still have access to the email you used to activate the Apple ID?
If you still do, then u can easily reset your password. If you don't, there are other questions that apple will ask you to verify you are the real owner of the Apple ID.

I don't know your location but I do not believe the screen costs as much as 50k, it is between 20-30k here in lagos.

Lastly, did u have any agreement that he can return it if he can't log in? My best bet is that you just find a way to unlock it and not refund him.

If you still want to pay him off, then he should provide receipt showing the cost with which he used to fix the screen, then u can call to verify the claim.

yes I still have access to the email but apple was asking me to provide the pass code of one my iPhone which was also used in the past before I can reset the password.i can't remember this pass code too.

he said he fixed the main screen for 30k and the internal screen for 20k .I'll ask him for the receipt.

no there was no agreement but at it is it's a loss for both of us because the ipad us useless without getting pass the activation lock.
