Hi everyone, a my little brother was talking and hosting with someone on the phone. The other person mentioned that it seems it's better to relocate now to either ivory coast or guinea Conakry. After a year or 2 , you might now see how to relocate to Australia or New Zealand . I want to ask: - as a Yorùbá person ( my brother) , where is it safe abd and cheap for a Yorùbá guy to go to in either of the 2 . - which is better btw I.C or G.C? - Note: the journey is not to stay there permanently but to enter Australia or New Zealand. What can he do quickly to gather some money? - pls, I'll appreciate kind words. My little brother is very tired of this country. Kindly not tell him to invest it stay in Nigeria: he's done that already and he's concluded that this is not for him anymore ( he was duped by ppl he trusted to run his farm; as he is a consultant in some other areas). What can he do in either of the 2 places. Note: he's not fluent in french also, but he's learning. Thanks. Kind words will be greatly appreciated. - also, taking a ride from idi- iroko or direct from Lagos which one is better? And at what average cost? |

Guinea Is a very poor country. Ivory coast is better since they have a lot of Yoruba people there. |

Why Australia (New Zealand is a no as jobs are scarcer)? What route does he intend to take to enter Australia that he cannot utilise while in Nigeria? Why does he think another West African country will be an easier option? He cannot speak French but he is interested in a way to make quick money. lol |

Some background on your brother is necessary for good guidance. His Yoruba language competence might come in handy in Benin and Togo, not so sure about Cote D'ivoire. Abidjan is 2nd after Lagos in terms of GDP in West Africa but I will choose Abidjan as it offers better infrastructure (Electricity, Security) at the moment. I always advise people relocating to have solid plan A and B before embarking on relocation. What is your brother's current academic background and driving skill ( he should have his certificates, transcripts and valid driver's license handy before leaving Nigeria). French Language is great skill to have in his basket, so if it's part of his plan A or B then the relocation is good. Being bilingual brings many opportunities whether on remote jobs or Canada PR. There's a thread here (https://www.nairaland.com/5782074/sweet-ivory-coast-memories) on someone's experience moving to cote D'ivoire, he needs to study it for an idea on expenses. I don't know much about Guinea, he might have to consult Tinubu on that. |
