APPLICATION OF THE SWORD

1. [Job 3:25] — For the thing which I greatly feared is come on me, and that which I was afraid of is come to me.

2. [Job 20:24] — He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.

3. [Proverbs 10:24] — The fear of the wicked, it shall come on him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

4. [Isaiah 24:17-18] — Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are on you, O inhabitant of the earth. And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that comes up out of the middle of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

5. [Jeremiah 42:16] — Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which you feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof you were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there you shall die.

(Ezekiel 11:8 - GWN) - "You are afraid of swords, so I will bring swords to attack you, declares the Almighty LORD."

(Ezekiel 11:8 - LBP) - "You have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you, says the LORD God."

Sword applies in revenge upon a man by any of these four principles:

◇1/A◇ The fear of the wicked shall come upon the wicked [Proverbs 10:24] — Especially if the wicked feared sword against him/her, the sword he feared shall be on him to accomplish on him what he feared.

All the sinners among the people of God may be praying or saying no evil will come upon them, but still yet the Sword must kill the sinners:

[Amos 9:10] — All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

◇2/B◇ He that kills with the sword shall be killed with the sword or he that takes the sword shall die by the sword [Revelation 13:10, Matthew 26:52]

◇3/C◇The Judgment or Justice bears the Sword and Scales/Balances:

[Job 19:29] — Be you afraid of the sword: for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment.

[Romans 13:4] — For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath on him that does evil.

◇4/D◇The Application of the Sword for Division or Peres/Upharsin:

[Matthew 10:34-39 BSB] — Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

[Jeremiah 4:9-10] — "“And it shall come to pass at that day,” says the LORD, “the king’s heart will perish, and the heart of the rulers; and the priests will be amazed, and the prophets will be astounded.” Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Surely You have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘You shall have peace,’ whereas a sword reaches to the soul.”"
