Rivers state stakeholder has boasted that the state can take care of their operating costs without relying on revenue from the Federation Account Allocation Committee. Recall that BudgIT, a civic tech organisation, has said in its 2024 State of States Report that Lagos and Rivers states can take care of their revenue from their IGR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1JxoeAtN7A |

odejimioflagos:I support this. States should control their VAT and resources while posting a maximum of 20% tax to the FG who should be taking care of themselves |

odejimioflagos:The federal government should stop relying on the resources of the states, very soon that is what will happen. If this is the case this frivolous suit wouldn't come up in the first place because there won't be anything to share. Every state should control their resources and pay tax to the center. |

I hope they've paid the seized FAAC into Wikes account? 😂 Circus Monkeys! 😂 Fubara is an accountant and can manage the IGR for capital and recurrent expenditure till 2027. Let us see wikes next move. But as for recognizing and representing the budget to the 27 lawmakers who have lost their seats, forget it. 😂 |
