REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD INCORPORATE OIL PALM FARMING IN YOUR AGRIC PROJECT IN 2025 BY KKFARMS

Dear would be farmer ,your next investment plan for the year 2025 farming season should be setting up an oil palm plantation farm .The good thing is that you can still plant the conventional food crops like maize and cassava that we are all used to but you need to incorporate oil palm plantation farming in your list of food crops to be planted next year ,the reasons are not farfetched ;

Apart from being a drought tolerant plant which is my major motivation for this article oil palm farming also offers a little capital start up with less than 500k to set up an acre and maintain it for the next 3 years to 4 years excluding cost of procuring farmland and it has potential to generate revenue of more than a million naira per acre annually at full maturity provided all farming guideline and good agronomic practice are maintained .This projected revenue which is subject to increase with inflation is excluding sales of palm kernel which also generate more revenue to the farmer .

Another reason why as a newbie farmer you needs to consider oil palm farming is the stability in the prices of its end product such as palm oil and vegetable oil however we must not discredit the fact that there are period of slightly fluctuation in prices depending on harvest season and off harvest season .This fact enable you as a farmer to predict your income and expenditure in oil palm farming thereby enabling you to always plan ahead .The case is different with short terms crop mostly cassava .To most of of that planted cassava this year we have prepare our minds that the current selling price of 100k to 150k per tonnage price may be less than 100k per ton next year harvest season due to mass planting carried out this year across the country .There is a lot of money to be made in oil palm farming and there are lot of job creation in this aspect of farming but you need knowledge and an experience farmer to work that's why KKFARMS is always available to work with you in year 2025
