The truth is, an adult pigs can be very expensive. A full grown, matured pig can cost between N75,000 to N150,000. The female pig are much more expensive than the male pig, because female pigs reproduce, they are the ones that eventually will give birth to piglets.

The cheapest price you can get for an adult pig is within the price range of N50,000 - N75,000. Do not worry. All you may need to get back your profits is one gestation period, because one female pig can give birth to many piglets, depending on the feeding and care given. An adult pig may cost less if you buy from neighbor or someone you know close. One male pig can serve up to 10 female pigs.


Cost Of Piglets In Nigeria

The price of a young pig is less expensive compared the adult. When buying piglets, the prices will depend on the months and the KG. A two (2) months piglet is surely going to be more expensive than the newly birth piglet. However, that is hard to know, unless they are weigh using a scale.

A two months piglet can be priced between N15,000 - #25,000.
