Pls experienced poultry owners or expertise in poultry farm specially broilers I want to go into broilers rearing and would like those into the business to educate me on how to go about though I would be starting on a low key budget.my questions are:
Is there a way to identify a better breeds or best
How do you cut cost of feeding? I have seen people use maize chaff to support feeding or do will have other stuff
Are there some feeds of higher quality than others
When you pick day old chickens and you find out that some few grow faster than others do you separate them for more feeding like fish farmers do
What are the causes of a healthy fowl you saw some few hours we die in numbers without sign of sickness
Is 4weeks or 8 weeks timing for selling ;which one is better
Can someone who want organic feeds succeed because I heard there are chemical or artificial addictives that makes them fat heavily
Do your have a cheaper way of neutralizing poultry odours

If you can pay for the training, I can take you up when I am back in Nigeria in February. The first cohort in my farm will be kicking off then. There are a lot of things you will not find out anywhere except you have been in this business like myself.

Oga, every business has secrets. Last Eid el-Fitri, I sold 800 chickens in 2 days. In July, I was paid N1m to supply chickens to an organization at a price that gave me 100% returns on investment.

If you do not know about what is called market segmentation, forget doing any kind of retail business.

Do you know that one Alhaji bought an entire trailer load of rams to present as a gift to a former president? Where did he get those rams from? From the skies?

A manager of a fast food outlet in Abuja told me in confidence that they consume more than 200 chickens a day on bad days. Who dey sell those chickens to them?

If you are selling chicken one-one to civil servants who were not even paid Dec salary to celebrate Christmas, sorry is your name. How can you buy feed at N27,000 a bag and hope to make a profit selling to struggling families as customers? Even when I was growing up, my family only ate chicken during Easter, Christmas, and family birthdays. Nothing more.

Like I said, in Feb I will start my poultry training and I will show my trainees who the real money-spinning customers are.
