Then you should not have not have written competitive salary, for a 3 to 5 years experience for a field engineer.

As at 2013, as an entry level Field engineer for a telecom based station, my salary was 120k, with no experience.

Now in this economy, a 5 years experienced engineer should collect 150K..

Well, you are right, each to his own...

You don't know what God has done for you. You think it is that easy. Because God made it easier for you doesn't mean that is how it is.
Many that finished with you are still struggling with one job or the other.

You were lucky bro. As an entry engineer, I started with 30k, I am a telecom engineer like you but I was unable to secure a job in any telecom industry, I ended up in power industry.

Like I said before, just thank God for what he has done for you my brother.

I understand what you are saying bro....

However we still need to do better for engineers. Although I'm not in the engineering field for now for some time, but we still need to know our right.

Imagine 30k as a telecom engineer, abeg bro what's the difference with a secondary school teacher??

You cannot go to school and solve all the thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, Mechanics of Machines, Control engineering etc, and be settling for less...

May God help NSE and COREN to do better

Yeah you are right. I took that decision to be in engineering field and received peanut while building on my experience, I would have picked something else that was looking a little more rewarding then, even teaching with home lessons and private lessons would have rewarded me far more than that, but immediately after my NYSC, I took a decision that nothing will make me go near teaching, because I know I would hang myself there. But I never regretted any of those decisions to focus on engineering field, today it is a different ball game as my God, my dedication and my experience later make a way for me to move up a little in the ladder.
