Suspected bandits led by notorious warlord Bello Turji launched a brazen attack on a mosque in Shanawa community, Zamfara State, during Isha prayers on Wednesday night.

Turji and his armed men stormed the mosque, disrupting the congregation and killing four of the worshippers.

The bandits also abducted an unspecified number of worshippers.

The attackers reportedly herded the victims into the forest. The exact number of those abducted remains unknown as of the time of filing this report.

The bandits then proceeded to Shinkafi town around 10PM, and also kidnapped several of people.
