BREAKING...

Dearly beloved constituents, as part of the activities lined up to mark my 50th birthday coming up next week, I am elated to announce the following empowerment initiatives for constituents.

A total of three hundred and forty (340) constituents (from small enterprises (SEs), artisans, and start-ups) will be empowered, and we are, by this publication, seeking to get 90 constituents who will meet certain requirements to cover divergence, equity, and inclusion from the below two (2) categories.

Category A: Skill Acquisition/Empowerment Programme on Air Freshener/Bleach Making for a period of 5 days. Successful participants will be given a startup grant to commence business immediately.

The programme will also feature an intensive training session focusing on business ideas and feasibility studies, marketing, product analysis and certification. The process of obtaining certification for products from NAFDAC/SON, financial management, documentation, packaging and branding.

Requirements for this category:
1. Prospective beneficiary must be a graduate.
2. Not more than 35 years.
3. Must be a constituent of Isoko North or South Federal Constituency.
The target for this category is 70 beneficiaries only.

Category B (SEs): This category is for constituents who are seeking to expand an already existing business and also for those with brilliant business ideas but are limited or deprived by the non-availability of startup capital.

Requirements for potential beneficiaries:

1. Those already in business (SEs) are to submit a detailed business expansion plan stating what they lack, how the lack has negatively affected their businesses, and the impact the empowerment would have on their business if chosen.
2. Proof of business existence
3. Business location and address
4. For those who seek to start up new businesses, they are to provide a detailed business plan, evidence of efforts made in the past, and proof of counterpart funds.
5. They should also be prepared to defend their business proposals.
The desired number of beneficiaries for this category is 20 constituents.

Arising from the above, interested constituents should send their business proposals to ujafamilyfoundation@gmail.com while stating the category they are applying for as the subject. Submission of business proposals for all categories will end by 4pm on Wednesday, 19th March, 2025 and late submission will not be accepted.

We believe so much in the Mustard Seed Principle, which entails starting small and deliberately making efforts to grow and we are confident these programmes will greatly help our youths who are enthusiastic about becoming entrepreneurs to become better positioned and profitably engaged to pursue it.
