You can do farming, mini importation to Nigeria , export of goods overseas. Most of this won’t take you much time and much funds to start and make gain.
You can then use the gain to start up tech companies.

Don't go for older company, since you have the experience but pay might be smaller

Why not become an angel investor? You can invest in early tech startups and also get a role when they secure funding.

Hello Nairalanders,

I have been working remotely for a tech startup based in Germany for over four years now. However, my contract with them expired a few months ago, and there is no possibility of renewal. The reality for me right now is that it's tough to find foreign companies where I can earn in international currency while living cheaply in Nigeria.

I want to leverage my experience from the German startup to secure a position with a Nigerian tech company. Although I haven't found an opportunity yet, I believe it should be easier to secure a role with a local tech startup. However, I'm worried the pay might be significantly lower—perhaps just 15-30% of what I earned at the German company—which would feel disempowering.

As an alternative, I'm considering starting my own business with my savings (approximately 7 million naira). This could be something I manage alone or pursue alongside a position in the Nigerian tech ecosystem.

I'd appreciate advice on how best to proceed. Is it too early to consider entrepreneurship? I really need guidance from professionals on how to navigate these career and business options.

Quick background about me: I'm 26 years old and have just completed my NYSC.
