1. The Spirit of Man Died the Very Day They Ate the Forbidden Fruit. - Genesis 2:17 They lost that nature of God which is eternal life that was in them. 2. Man Became Subject to Satan - Romans 6:16 In other words, Satan became the god of this present evil world till date –2 Corinthians 4:4, John 12:31, John 14:30, John 16:11. He even boasted to our Lord Jesus during his temptation that this world has been handed over to him – Luke 4:6 3. Man became slave or subject to sin – Romans 3:23, 5:12, 7:15-23, Genesis 6:5-6. 4. Man became subject to physical death - Romans 5:12,17; 6:23 5. Man was doomed for eternal damnation in the pit of hell – Matthew 23;33, Psalms 9:17 6. Man became subject to sickness through affliction from Satan and demons - John 10:10, Luke 13:16, Matthew 9:32-33 7. The Ground was cursed – Genesis 3:17-18. However, the curse was later reversed after Noah offered sacrifice to God – Genesis 8:20-22. 8. Sorrow crept in – Genesis 3:17. 9. Man started eating herbs – Genesis 3:18. They were originally supposed to eat only of the fruits of the trees in the Garden of Eden – Genesis 2:16. 10. Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden - Genesis 3:24. This was done to keep them from eating the fruit of the tree of life. Otherwise, redemption would have been impossible for mankind. 11. Suffering and Poverty crept in - Genesis 3:19. Negative emotions like fear and envy crept in - Genesis 3:10; 4:3-8. 12.Wickedness crept in as the first murder was recorded not too long after the fall – Genesis 4:8. 13. Women were cursed at childbirth - Genesis 3:16 14. Women became subject to their husbands. It was not so at the beginning - Genesis 3:16, Ephesians 5:22-23. 15. The serpent was cursed above all cattle. This means that the serpent had legs but they all disappeared over time – Genesis 3:14. 16. There Was Pronounced Enmity Between the Serpent and Man Which Is Symbolic of the Enmity Between Christ and Satan – Genesis 3:15. 17. The Whole Earth Became Subject to Bondage and Corruption - Romans 8:21. Even trees and animals who did not commit sin began to die. 18. Gross Sexual Perversion Crept in till Date. They started practicing gay and lesbianism against nature. This sexual perversion was what made God to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah – Genesis 19:1-11, Romans 1:26-27. 19 Everything on Earth Was Subjected to Retrogression. This is why the economy of virtually every nation on earth is crumbling - Romans 8:20-21, 2 Peter 1:3-4. 20. The Earth Started Experiencing What We Call Natural Disasters. Disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruption, wildfire, tornado, hurricane and the likes happen from time to time in various parts of the world destroying lives and properties. It is not truly a "natural" disaster. Calling it natural implies that it was part of God’s original intention in creation, but God does not create evil. Everything He made was perfect from the beginning until humanity sinned. These disasters reveal God's judgment on people for their wickedness and rebellion against His word - Romans 1:18. 21. Man Fell Short of the Glory of God. The life we are living now is a far fetch from God’s original plan for us. We weren't supposed to die or be sick. We were created with complete dominion over all the works of God. Even so-called wild animals were all supposed to be afraid of us. But, now, it is the direct opposite. But thank God for the restoration of that glory in Christ. Romans 3:23, Colossians 1:27. |
