Ever since this Peter Obi-Abacha saga, I have not really bothered myself to check if Nigeria's President Peter Obi worked for Abacha or not. That is not my primary concern. I honestly feel like Nigerians are missing the most important part of the whole situation.

There was congestion at the ports which are most probably man-made due to corruption that is endemic in Nigeria. This congestion was hampering Nigeria's economic growth viz-a-viz export and imports because maybe one "Oga At The Top" has made himself an oracle at the ports to enrich his personal pockets, service his numerous girlfriends and buy choice properties at highbrow areas in Nigeria.

Now the government became concerned. They needed to fix the situation.

The government of Abacha now requested for who can fix that problem IMMEDIATELY and DECISIVELY. Peter Obi was probably recommended.

The end is now history. Peter Obi came in and in 2 weeks, every thing returned to normalcy at Nigeria's ports. Virtually, EVERYTHING!

Sir, you are still missing the point. Let us not argue if Obi lied or not. The point Peter Obi was making was that regardless of if he worked for a dictator or not, THE PORTS WERE DECONGESTED.

Now let us bring it down to present day Nigeria and use Nigeria's electricity and power problem for example.
