He is recognized for his energetic performances, trap-inspired sound, and emotionally-driven lyrical content. Known for blending street realism with personal storytelling, ictheplug is emerging as a distinctive voice in the new wave of African hip hop.

He began his music journey in 2023 after completing secondary school, developing his craft through unreleased freestyles and independent sessions. In 2025, he launched ITP (Plug Season) — a self-driven movement centered on authenticity, consistency, and creative freedom.
