SPS is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in companies building the future of construction, healthcare, and wealth. In addition to backing exceptional founders, we build tools to support them — and our own investing — from first check to follow-on. We’re now hiring a founding engineer to lead two high-impact builds:

MemoAI – an AI-native diligence assistant that ingests entire data rooms and produces investor-ready memos using LLMs, document parsing, and RAG-based search.
Founder Portal – a beautifully designed, role-based hub for SPS portfolio founders, with onboarding tools, team directories, resource libraries, and advisor networks.
This is a unique opportunity to build two greenfield, production-grade products in close partnership with a high-conviction venture fund and domain expert users.

What You’ll Build

MemoAI Platform

Document ingestion engine (PDF, Excel, Word, URLs, OCR)
Memo generation framework (template builder + GPT/NLG)
Retrieval-augmented chatbot with embedded data understanding
Integrated frontend (Next.js) with secure login and document views
Use: OpenAI APIs, LangChain, Supabase/Firebase, vector DBs (e.g. Pinecone)
53 Stations Founder Portal

• Frontend builder: Lovable (or alternatives: Bolt, WeWeb, Softr, Glide)
• Backend/database: Airtable or similar CRMs / Databases
• Automation logic: Zapier or Make (formerly Integromat)
• Auth + access control: Built-in (via Lovable), or external (Stytch, Outseta, Memberstack)
• Embedded tools:
GetProven API or embed for vendor rolodex
Standard Metrics links
Google Drive / Notion / PDF guides for documents




Tech Stack You’ll Work With

Frontend: React / Next.js / Tailwind
Backend: Supabase or Firebase (auth, storage, serverless logic)
AI Layer: OpenAI (GPT-4), LangChain, Pinecone (or similar)
Data Integration: Airtable API, Zapier/Make, REST APIs
Infrastructure: Vercel, Render, or Netlify (optional CI/CD setup)




You Might Be a Fit If You...

Must-Haves

3+ years of full-stack experience (React, Node.js, TypeScript)
Experience with BaaS platforms (Supabase, Firebase) and serverless functions
Comfort integrating REST APIs and parsing structured/unstructured files
Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or vector search
Comfortable working independently with high ownership and async feedback
️ Nice-to-Haves

Experience building portals, dashboards, or internal tools
Knowledge of Airtable schema design and API integrations
Past exposure to LLMs in production (prompting, chunking, embedding)
Familiarity with workflows in VC, fintech, or knowledge management
