Both ingredients are readily available. As a matter of fact, it is more likely for an Urhobo person to cook Ohwo soup than Banga. Because it is way better and easier!

Non Urhobos, who may not know how to cook Ohwo, would settle for Banga soup. It is more difficult to get the right settings for Ohwo soup than Banga.

No Nigerian man marries with the sole purpose of turning his wife into a cook. Instead of blaming the man, blame the society. Every man or woman is raised with the mindset that in every home there are marital roles. While the boys are raised with the mindset that their core responsibility is work hard and provide their families, the women on the other hand are raised with mindset that their core responsibility is to organise and take care of their homes which includes cooking.

The implication is that so many men grow up without learning how to cook but depend heavily either on their mum, wife or eat outside. While some women enter their husband's home with the mindset of depending solely on their husband to provide for them.

Moreover, this is not limited to Africa alone. Some of these Asian countries, South American countries have similar experiences. So, it's not peculiar to Africa alone. Even in some these western countries. Forget that the media sometimes project certain messages that supports these ideologies.

I cooked these meals with five thousand naira for the whole month,i was so prudent and economical with the money as the understanding wife i m.

I never forgot to cover the money with the blood of jesus,whenever i m going to the market.

Anyways,some of the meals, i end up cooking them with three hundred naira.
