I do not celebrate Nigeria’s independence, and here’s why:

❌ I don’t have the freedom to stop a leader from oppressing my country.
❌ I don’t have the right to demand justice for the poor from those in power.
❌ I’m not allowed to influence the system of governance we truly desire.
❌ I can’t freely remove corrupt and oppressive leaders.

So, what kind of freedom are we celebrating?
We are still under oppression, fear, and dictatorship.

May Allah guide us and give us true freedom. Ameen.
