It's not always like that my brother, sometimes when it happens, it could be that those staying with him are busy sleeping or doing something else and knowing they don't want him to go alone, they sneak out and most times never return

He wasn't alone , his daughter left him while he went in for scan to get food and pleaded with a nurse to help her watch her father when he is done.

Dementia and his family members allowed him to go alone ?

May he be found safe and sound...maybe dementia, .if u have elderly parents monitor them well .. my late old popsy nearly got missing after going to hereby church .he moved past our house and was brought back by a neighbour that saw him on the day ..

elderly people shouldn't be moving alone, once you notice dementia is kicking him or loss of memory, even if he has walking stick, let a child or adult walk with them when they stroll in the neighbourhood or village so as to return in peace.
