The Chinese and the Russians are with the Venezuelans, the Iranians, the Syrians and others because those countries also factor the Chinese or Russian positions on global issues before taking a stand. That's the way it works.

You're talking thrash. For your info, right now Nigeria trades more with the Chinese than even the US. Even Nigeria's new "crude oil", the lithium processing plants are being handled by the Chinese. Nigeria snubbed the US and gave the contract to the Chinese. So the Chinese have more to lose than the US. But like other commentators have rightly pointed out, the only thing the Chinese and Russians would do if the US invades, which these countries typically do with other countries they trade with, is to issue press statements condemning the invasion and it ends there. They don't have the balls to directly confront the US. Taiwan is a typical example. The Russians are already engaged in a war with Ukraine and they won't stupidly involve themselves in Nigeria's wars if it were to occur.
