Alpha Step Links is growing, and we need a sharp, hands-on developer to join us on-site. You'll own the full lifecycle of our web application — building new features, squashing bugs, and keeping things fast, secure, and reliable. What You'll Be Doing
Build, maintain, and scale our core web application to ensure high availability and performance.
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code across both frontend and backend layers.
Manage and optimise databases, ensuring data integrity and fast query performance.
Develop and maintain APIs that power our platform's features and integrations.
Implement security measures, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices.
Debug issues quickly and deploy fixes with minimal disruption to users.
Collaborate closely with the product and operations teams to ship meaningful features.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Who We're Looking For
2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining robust web applications.
Demonstrable proficiency in at least two major programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python, PHP).
Strong grasp of both relational (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB / Redis) databases.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) and deployment pipelines.
A portfolio, GitHub profile, or live projects you can point us to.
Comfortable working on-site in Lagos — this is a full-time, in-person role.
A self-starter attitude with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with travel tech platforms or SaaS product development.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
Understanding of agile workflows and sprint-based delivery.
