Farmers Are Sleeping On Azolla

Let me be honest with you…

Many poultry farmers in Nigeria are suffering under expensive feed, yet there is something simple and natural they are ignoring.

👉 Azolla

This is not a chemical.
It is not imported.
It is a fast-growing aquatic plant that can be used as a cheap feed supplement for poultry, fish, and livestock.

But because it is small and looks “too simple”, many farmers don’t take it seriously.

Meanwhile, it has real benefits:

✔ Grows very fast under simple conditions
✔ Can reduce feed cost when properly used
✔ Rich in protein and nutrients
✔ Can be grown in a small container or pond
✔ Works well alongside normal feed

The truth is:

Most people are looking for “big solutions” while ignoring simple ones sitting around them.

Azolla will not replace full feed overnight, but it can help reduce pressure on expensive commercial feed when used correctly.

I’ve seen farmers overlook it just because it doesn’t look like a “serious solution”… until feed price keeps rising.

I’m currently exploring simple ways to integrate Azolla into small-scale farming systems, and the results are interesting.

Let’s be honest:

Have you ever tried Azolla before—or are you just hearing about it for the first time?
