About the Company

SINOMA Nigeria Company Limited is seeking qualified, motivated, and experienced Structural Engineers to join its growing construction team in Abuja. The successful candidates will support the design, analysis, supervision, and execution of structural works while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.

Job Summary

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, inspecting, and supervising structural components and construction activities. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Design and analyze structural components for construction projects.
Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Conduct site inspections and supervise structural construction activities.
Ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, designs, and project documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and provide technical support during construction.
Identify, investigate, and resolve structural issues in a timely manner.
Verify the quality of materials and workmanship on site.
Participate in project meetings and provide engineering recommendations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Relevant experience in structural design, analysis, and site supervision is an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software is desirable.
Understanding of construction methods, building materials, and safety standards.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Working Conditions
Office and construction site-based work.
Occasional site visits and inspections may be required.
