Darkness has a face
look into its eyes and you'll see nothing
you stare at it and it stares right back at you
it perceives fear....
then it whispers sounds into your ear...sounds that make you shrink in fear
it envelopes you in a cold embrace.... chills your soul
it tries to lead you on... dis way or dat
you fall and it laughs at you, inflicting you with pain you cannot trace
it rejoices in your groaning... then leaves to crawl back for more
never you let it...
it covers your body and tries to get into your soul
never you let it....get into your heart
never you let it take hold of you
you have a light... let it shine
because you do not want to see the face of darkness.... it terrifies
but your light blinds its eyes
so that it cannot remain
let your light shine out the darkness....

this is great, you really are wonderful, u were very careful with ur choice of words, I mean u weren't verbose. Eventhough poetry makes use of condensed language u stil maintained dat stream of consciousness to drop ur msg into ur readers mind. I must say I'm blessed wit dis poem. Keep it up, u're d voice!
