The gaming industry's biggest gathering of the year is once again set to invade downtown Los Angeles (though this year, gamers could have to share the L.A. Live area with the Stanley Cup). Will this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo bring official announcements of next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft? That's unlikely, though gamers should get their first good look at Nintendo's Wii U, which goes on sale late this year.

And game publishers will use the conference as a chance to reveal upcoming projects, though, in some cases, it's hard to keep titles under wraps until the expo; this week, LucasArts' Star Wars 1313, EA's Dead Space 3, Konami's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, and Microsoft's Gears of War: Judgment are among the announcements that have leaked early. However, some major names, like Bungie and Rockstar, will not be showing off any projects at this year's E3. - Metacritic.

Quick thoughts-

Gears Of War: Judgement:

Now don't get me wrong, Gears is comfortably my favorite game of the current generation but come on, devs should know when to give a franchise a rest. Not saying they should stop it(like that's ever going to happen with all the money begging to be made), but i feel they should have waited till the next gen for this. It coulda made an excellent launch title for the next box.

Now a Ninja Gaiden-esque hack n slasher apparently, no more stealth! Looks cool overall but might get old really fast.

Haven't had time to watch all the trailers yet, will catch up later. Anything spectacular?

Beyond: Two Souls, The Last of Us and Watch Dogs' trailers were nothing short of spectacular. Those trailers took this year's E3.

The Injustice trailer has piqued my interest a little. . but then maybe I'm just setting myself up to be disappointed, super hero games(aside the Batman Arkhams) are rarely ever satisfying. No mention of a release date eh?

That was actually a joke, but truth be told i was never interested in the Uncharted series and didn't play any so i won't be playing this.

Yes i never liked Uncharted and The last of us looked a little different but mostly the same style of gameplay and physics with Uncharted. Uncharted never appealed to me because it lacked being grounded in its mechanics of survival and the game was over scripted.

Also i just don't like Drake.
