pls im getting this tablet (galaxy tab 2 7 inches) for someone, does anyone know if she can use it to make normal gsm phone calls

if you buy it in Nigeria or any country where sim card is being used, check the left side you'll see microSD and SIM card slots. Check the back and if you can open, check because their are some that only works with sprint and verizon wireless (CDMA '-iksh').

@op, IMO, I dont tink u can! If it has sim card slot, it means u can use telecomms networks' sims to browse, i'm nt sure u can make calls with it.

If she wants samsung's android tab that can make calls, i'll advise samsung galaxy note. It's tab-like i.e. it's too small for a tab and too large for a phone. I hope this helps.

if the features on gsm forum is right, then you can use it for phone call.

Though i pity her. 7inch phone, thats gonna be hard to carry around.

I own a 7inch tablet, so i know what it would look like when she wipes it out her bag to answer a call in a bus( Kolo mental)
