I didn’t have to book an appointment when I applied, I just walked in to submit. I’m not sure what the protocol is now due to Covid but if you are in São Paulo, you can just go to Policia Federal in Lapa to submit. Also, usually you should get Priority you’re applying with your baby’s documents.
