For master’s degree programs as of February 15, 2024
You can apply for a 3-year PGWP, even if your master’s program was less than 2 years, as long as

your program was at least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec programs) and
you meet all other eligibility requirements
This doesn’t apply to certificate or diploma programs.

zubizareta:
Ofcourse. 1 year gets your 1 year pgwp
2 years gets you 3years pgwp. I am assuming the courses are pgwp eligible.
With the current immigration policies in canada, getting a PR with a 1 year pgwp has even become very very difficult and almost impossible now.

Is there any advantage of a 2 year course over a 1 year course in a Canadian university?

Got my new passport and the old one delivered this morning after 2 weeks of application. Surprised it came so early

uzo2512:
Could someone please help with Clarification on expired Passport Submission and Return at The Nigeria High commission London

Could someone help me please confirm whether I need to submit my expired passport and leave it with the High Commission until I receive my new passport, or if it will be returned to me along with the supporting documents?

I am asking because I have an emergency trip to Nigeria in about two weeks, and I understand that I may be able to travel with my expired passport. I would like to know if the High Commission will return my old passport after the biometric appointment, or if they will keep it. Since there is no guarantee that my new passport will arrive before my travel date, I would like to ensure that I can still travel to Nigeria with the old passport while waiting for the new one. Or do I have to cancel the appointment and rebook when I come back?

Thank you for your assistance.

The mobile app biometrics is for those above 18 so the kids needs to get to London for theirs. The wait time is something else honestly.

Will definitely check out Outernet London grin

Thanks for the info

Mindlog:
5 months wait time for biometrics and why do the kids have to come to London, for theirs?🙄🙄🙄

I actually went past the Nigerian High Commission building near Trafalgar square earlier today, while checking out some places around that area.

When you bring the kids, try and squeeze out time to take them to Outernet London that is less than 20mins walk away from the High Commission, it would wow them and it is FREE.😂😂😂

I am in the UK, I did my biometrics online but my kids will have to go to London embassy. They were given 5 months wait time for biometrics. Kai

It's possible to travel to Nigeria with an expired passport, but I doubt that you will be able to travel back to your location (outside Nigeria) with an expired passport.

If you travel to Nigeria, with your expired passport, you will have to renew it in Nigeria before you will be allowed out of Nigeria.

If you submit your passport to Nigerian embassy in the country you reside, they will process a new one which will be sent to you when it's ready. I doubt they will give you back the old one.

Booking a Biometrics Appointment:
To ensure all family members have the same biometrics appointment date, visit the Nigeria Immigration Service London website or use their dedicated passport portal to book appointments.

During the booking process, select the same date and time slot for all applications (renewals and new passport). It's recommended to create one profile and link all family members for ease of scheduling.

If you're unable to book on the same date online, contact the Nigeria High Commission in London via email or phone and request assistance to align all appointments due to your travel distance from Liverpool.

Passport Processing Time:
After biometrics, the processing time for Nigerian passports at the London High Commission typically ranges from 4 to 6 weeks. However, delays are common, so it's advisable to follow up regularly and apply early if you have urgent travel plans. For expedited services, inquire during the biometrics appointment.

I intend to renew my family's passport in London and I also want to get a new passport for my child born here in UK 🇬🇧.

I understand that for the one born in UK, I need to first get a NIN. I will be getting the NIN in Liverpool this week.

Now I have 2 questions.

1. How can I book for biometrics appointment so that all of us will have the same date at Nigeria House in London? Travelling to London from Liverpool is some distance so we all need to do it same day.

2. How long does it take for the passport to be out after biometrics.

In the bustling city of New York known for its towering skyscrapers and relentless pace of life, lived a man named Andrew Carter. Andrew was not just wealthy; he was one of the youngest self-made multimillionaires in the region. His success in the tech industry had made him a household name among the elite. Yet, amidst all his achievements, Andrew felt a void. He longed for a partner who would love him for who he was, not for his bank account or the lifestyle it afforded.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqChaWh9XpY

Andrew’s search for love had been far from smooth. Despite his charm and generosity, he repeatedly found himself in relationships with women who seemed to value his wealth more than his character. Two of these experiences stood out, shaping his decision to embark on an unconventional quest for true love.

Disappointments in Love

The first was with a woman named Vanessa. Vanessa was breathtakingly beautiful and carried herself with an air of sophistication. Andrew had met her at a charity gala, and their connection was instant. For months, they dated, and Andrew spared no expense to make her happy. He took her on lavish trips, bought her designer clothes, and even gifted her a custom-made necklace encrusted with diamonds.

One evening, while they were dining at a five-star restaurant, Andrew overheard Vanessa on a phone call with a friend. She didn’t realize he was within earshot as she laughed and said, “Andrew’s the perfect guy to fund my lifestyle. As long as I keep him happy, the gifts will keep coming.”

Her words were a dagger to Andrew’s heart. That night, he ended their relationship, realizing Vanessa cared more about his money than the bond they shared.

The second disappointment came in the form of Lydia, a vivacious woman with an infectious laugh. Lydia was less interested in material possessions but more focused on the prestige that came with being Andrew’s girlfriend. She constantly pressured him to attend high-profile events, often bragging about their relationship to anyone who would listen.

The breaking point came when Andrew discovered that Lydia had been using their relationship to secure business deals for herself. She’d name-drop him in meetings to gain credibility and had even signed a lucrative contract by implying Andrew would invest in the company. When confronted, Lydia shrugged and said, “It’s just business. Don’t take it personally.”

Andrew was crushed. Once again, he felt used and disrespected. These experiences left him questioning if he would ever find someone who valued him for who he truly was.

The Disguise

Determined to change his approach, Andrew devised a plan to find a woman who would love him for his character, not his wealth. He decided to disguise himself as a homeless beggar and see who would look beyond appearances to find the real person within.

Andrew’s plan began with a complete transformation. He traded his tailored suits and luxury watches for tattered clothes and a pair of worn-out sneakers. He grew out his beard, applied dirt to his face and hands, and carried a battered backpack filled with old newspapers and empty cans. He stationed himself in a park near a popular shopping district, blending in seamlessly with the city’s homeless population.

For weeks, Andrew lived this new identity. He spent his days sitting on a bench, holding a cardboard sign that read, “Hungry and Homeless. Anything Helps.” Most people hurried past, avoiding eye contact. Some dropped spare change into his cup without so much as a glance. The loneliness and invisibility of his new role gave Andrew a deeper appreciation for the struggles faced by the homeless, but it also reinforced his determination.

Meeting Emma

One chilly afternoon, as Andrew sat shivering in the park, a young woman approached him. Her name was Emma Hayes, and she was a waitress at a nearby diner. She had noticed Andrew sitting there for days and decided to check on him.

“Hi,” she said softly. “Are you okay? Have you eaten today?”

Andrew looked up, startled by her kindness. “Not really,” he replied, playing his part.

Emma smiled gently. “Wait here. I’ll be back.”

She returned a short while later with a warm sandwich and a cup of coffee. Handing them to Andrew, she said, “It’s not much, but I hope it helps.”

Andrew was moved by her gesture. Over the next few days, Emma continued to visit him, bringing food and even sitting down to chat. She asked him about his life, listened to his stories, and treated him with dignity and respect. Andrew found himself looking forward to her visits, captivated by her kindness and sincerity.

The Friendship Deepens

As their conversations grew longer, Andrew learned more about Emma. She lived a modest life, working long hours to support her younger brother, who was in college. Despite her struggles, she had an unshakable optimism and a heart full of compassion.

Emma, in turn, became curious about Andrew. “You’re different from most people I’ve met out here,” she remarked one day. “You speak so eloquently. What happened to you?”

Andrew hesitated but decided to stick to his story. “Life has a way of turning upside down,” he said vaguely. “But it’s taught me what really matters.”

Emma nodded thoughtfully. “Well, for what it’s worth, I think you’re stronger than you realize.”

Her words struck a chord with Andrew. Here was a woman who saw value in him despite his appearance. She didn’t pity him or judge him; she simply cared.

The Revelation

After a month of their growing friendship, Andrew decided it was time to reveal the truth. He invited Emma to meet him at a small café nearby, promising to explain everything.

When Emma arrived, she barely recognized him. Andrew was clean-shaven, dressed in a crisp shirt and tailored trousers. Confused, she approached him cautiously.

“Andrew?” she asked.

He smiled. “Yes, it’s me. Please, sit down. I owe you an explanation.”

Over coffee, Andrew revealed his true identity and the reason behind his disguise. He explained his wealth, his distrust of superficial relationships, and his desire to find someone who valued him for who he was.

Emma listened in stunned silence. When he finished, she said, “I don’t know what to say. I never expected this.”

Andrew reached for her hand. “Emma, your kindness and honesty have shown me what I’ve been searching for. You cared for me when you thought I had nothing. That means everything to me.”

A New Beginning

Emma needed time to process everything, but she couldn’t deny the connection they had built. Over the following weeks, Andrew took her on dates, showing her glimpses of his world while staying grounded in the qualities that had drawn her to him.

Eventually, Emma realized that his wealth didn’t define him; his character did. They continued to grow closer, and a year later, Andrew proposed to Emma in the same park where they had first met. She said yes without hesitation.

Their wedding was a modest affair, attended by close friends and family. Andrew insisted on keeping it simple, honoring the values Emma had taught him about love and humility.

Moral Lessons

True Love Looks Beyond Appearances: Emma’s kindness to Andrew when she believed he was homeless showed that genuine love is about character, not wealth or status.

Wealth Can’t Buy Happiness: Despite his riches, Andrew felt unfulfilled until he found someone who valued him for who he truly was.

Compassion Transforms Lives: Emma’s small acts of kindness not only changed Andrew’s life but also led to a beautiful partnership built on mutual respect.

Honesty Is the Foundation of Relationships: Andrew’s eventual revelation of the truth demonstrated the importance of honesty in building trust.

Today, Andrew and Emma use their resources to support charitable initiatives, particularly those aimed at helping the homeless. Their story is a testament to the power of kindness, humility, and love that transcends material wealth.

A Lesson in Patience and Respect: The Story of a Racist Sales Manager

In the bustling streets of Chicago, amidst the skyscrapers and high-end boutiques, sat an exclusive luxury car dealership. Known for selling some of the most coveted automobiles, it was a place where class and opulence converged. Unfortunately, as one particular day revealed, the veneer of luxury sometimes masks the ugliness of prejudice.

John Matthews, the sales manager, was a man known for his sharp wit and sharper tongue. Though competent at his job, his arrogance often left a sour taste in the mouths of those who interacted with him. John believed he had a knack for reading customers at a glance. Dressed in a pristine suit, he stood by the showroom entrance, his eyes scanning potential buyers. For John, appearances mattered more than anything else.

That morning, as sunlight gleamed off the polished vehicles in the showroom, a man walked in. He was African, dressed in a simple yet well-fitted outfit. His demeanor was calm and confident, but to John, none of that mattered. The color of the man’s skin and his understated attire triggered John’s biases. Without even offering a customary greeting, John blurted out, “You can’t afford our cars. This is not the place for people like you.”

The room fell silent. A couple of junior salespeople froze in disbelief. The man, unruffled, smiled politely and said, “I see. Thank you for letting me know.” Then, turning to a young salesman named Alex, he added, “Could you please show me around?”

Alex, though hesitant at first, nodded. He had seen John dismiss customers before but never so blatantly. Guiding the man through the showroom, Alex explained the features of each vehicle with professionalism and enthusiasm. The African man listened intently, occasionally asking insightful questions about performance, mileage, and customization options.

As they moved through the display, a black luxury SUV caught the man’s eye. “This one,” he said, “I think this suits my needs. What’s the process for purchase?”

Alex’s face lit up. He walked the man through the financing options and paperwork. As they finalized the details, the man casually handed over a business card. Alex’s eyes widened when he read it. The name on the card was Dr. Samuel Okoye, CEO of a leading technology corporation headquartered in Chicago.

Meanwhile, John watched the interaction from afar, growing increasingly uneasy. He’d assumed the man was a time-waster, but now he was beginning to sense his mistake. Curious, John approached Alex, asking who the customer was. When Alex showed him the business card, John’s face turned pale.

“Dr. Okoye?” he stammered. “The CEO?”

Alex nodded, barely able to contain his satisfaction. Dr. Okoye, noticing the commotion, turned to John with a calm yet piercing gaze. “Ah, Mr. Sales Manager,” he said, “I’ve been coming to this dealership for years, but I’ve never experienced such hostility. Thank you for making it clear who I should avoid doing business with.”

John’s attempt to apologize was interrupted by Dr. Okoye. “It’s too late for that,” he said firmly. “You see, respect costs nothing, but arrogance can be very expensive. I’ve decided to give my business to Alex here. He treated me with patience and dignity.”

As Dr. Okoye drove off in his new SUV, Alex’s colleagues congratulated him. The commission from the sale was significant, but the lesson learned by everyone present was even greater.

John, on the other hand, was left to reflect on his actions. His arrogance and prejudice had not only cost him a lucrative sale but also tarnished his reputation within the dealership. He’d been exposed for what he truly was: a man blinded by stereotypes.

Moral Lessons:
* Never Judge a Book by Its Cover: Dr. Okoye’s simple appearance belied his wealth and influence. Assumptions based on appearances often lead to missed opportunities and embarrassment.
* Respect Costs Nothing: Treating others with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, is not only morally right but also good business practice.

This story reminds us that kindness, humility, and professionalism are not just virtues but essential elements for success in any field. If you enjoyed this story and want to hear more amazing tales, don’t forget to subscribe to our channel for more engaging content!

🚨SCAM ALERT: TITILAYO MARY EBOH OF BLESSED HOPE FOUNDATION 🚨

This woman, Mary Titilayo Eboh, the Founder of Blessed Hope Foundation Nigeria, has scammed a fan of this page out of 306 million Naira.

Out of this money, 138 million Naira was transferred into the account of a real estate firm linked to a Managing Director of a Micro Finance Bank in Abuja. This same individual is also the founder of what is supposed to be a reputable charity foundation in Abuja.

I have reached out to this bank MD regarding the funds. She initially claimed that she paid the money into Mrs. Eboh’s account the day after receiving it. However, this contradicts what she told the victims—that Mrs. Eboh owed her money and she intended to keep the funds as repayment.

Let me be clear: If this bank MD fails to return the 138 million Naira paid into her account, I will not hesitate to post her pictures and details for all to see.

Titilayo Mary Eboh, on her part, appears to be a chronic scammer. Attached are pictures showing her previous encounters with the EFCC—this is not the first time she has been involved in fraudulent activities.

Justice must be served. I encourage everyone to share this post and spread awareness to prevent others from falling victim to such individuals.

EventsWhat Really Happened On The Day The Titanic Sank? by 9jaHustler(op): 10:08pm On Sep 10, 2024
Over a century ago, on a cold April night in 1912, one of the deadliest maritime disasters in history unfolded in the icy waters of the North Atlantic. The RMS Titanic, the “unsinkable” ship, met its tragic end, taking more than 1,500 souls with it. But what really happened on the day the Titanic sank? What caused the world’s largest and most luxurious passenger liner to go down on its maiden voyage?

This article unravels the events of that fateful day, exploring the chain of circumstances that led to the sinking of the Titanic and the lasting impact it has had on maritime history.
Setting Sail: The Titanic’s Maiden Voyage

The RMS Titanic set sail from Southampton, England, on April 10, 1912, bound for New York City. As the largest and most advanced passenger ship of its time, the Titanic was a marvel of modern engineering, boasting state-of-the-art safety features, including watertight compartments and advanced communication systems. Onboard were more than 2,200 passengers and crew, ranging from some of the wealthiest people in the world to immigrants seeking a new life in America.

For the first few days, the journey was smooth, and the passengers enjoyed the luxury and comfort that the Titanic promised. However, beneath the surface, a series of unfortunate events and decisions would soon align to spell disaster.
The Iceberg Warnings: A Tragedy Foretold

As the Titanic made its way across the North Atlantic, it received numerous warnings about icebergs from other ships in the area. On April 14, 1912, the ship’s wireless operators, Jack Phillips and Harold Bride, were busy handling passenger messages when they received several iceberg warnings. Unfortunately, many of these warnings were either ignored, delayed, or not delivered to Captain Edward Smith on the bridge. The ship continued to sail at near full speed—about 22.5 knots—despite being in a known ice field.

At 11:40 PM, lookout Frederick Fleet spotted an iceberg directly in the ship’s path. Fleet rang the warning bell three times and telephoned the bridge, shouting, “Iceberg, right ahead!” First Officer William Murdoch ordered the ship to turn “hard-a-starboard” and reversed the engines, but it was too late. Less than a minute later, the Titanic struck the iceberg on its starboard side, creating a series of punctures along the hull.
The Collision: Minutes to Midnight

The collision with the iceberg initially caused little alarm among passengers and crew. Many on board did not even feel the impact, while others described it as a “slight bump” or “grinding noise.” However, the iceberg had inflicted fatal damage below the waterline. The Titanic’s design included 16 watertight compartments, and it could remain afloat with up to four of these flooded. Unfortunately, the iceberg breached six of these compartments, sealing the ship’s fate.

Water began pouring into the lower decks at an alarming rate, and within minutes, it was clear that the Titanic was doomed. Thomas Andrews, the ship’s designer, quickly assessed the damage and informed Captain Smith that the vessel had only about two hours to live.
The Sinking: Chaos and Courage in the Cold Atlantic

Shortly after midnight, Captain Smith ordered the lifeboats to be uncovered and began sending out distress signals. The first distress call, CQD, was sent at 12:15 AM, followed by the new SOS signal. The nearby ships, including the RMS Carpathia, received the distress call, but most were too far away to reach the Titanic in time. The closest ship, the SS Californian, was within sight but had its radio turned off for the night.

As the lifeboats were prepared, the reality of the situation began to set in. The Titanic was equipped with only 20 lifeboats, enough to accommodate around 1,178 people—less than half of those on board. Furthermore, the crew was unprepared for such an emergency, and the process of loading the lifeboats was chaotic and disorganized. Many of the first lifeboats were launched only partially filled, some carrying as few as 12 people despite having a capacity of 65.

As the bow of the ship dipped lower into the water, the scene on deck grew increasingly desperate. The band played on, hoping to calm passengers, while many of the crew worked tirelessly to evacuate as many people as possible. At around 2:10 AM, the ship’s lights flickered and then went out, plunging the Titanic into darkness. Moments later, the ship broke apart and began its final plunge into the icy depths.
The Aftermath: Rescue and Reflection

The RMS Carpathia arrived at the scene around 4:00 AM, just an hour and a half after the Titanic sank, and began rescuing survivors from the lifeboats. By the time the Carpathia left the area, it had saved 705 people. The remaining 1,500 passengers and crew perished in the freezing waters of the Atlantic.

The world was shocked by the news of the Titanic’s sinking. As investigations unfolded, many questions arose about the decisions made that night—why the iceberg warnings were ignored, why the ship continued at high speed in dangerous conditions, and why there were not enough lifeboats. The inquiries led to significant changes in maritime safety, including the requirement for ships to carry enough lifeboats for all passengers, conduct regular lifeboat drills, and maintain 24-hour radio watch.
Legacy of the Titanic: Lessons Learned

The sinking of the Titanic remains one of the most significant maritime disasters in history. It serves as a sobering reminder of human fallibility, overconfidence, and the limitations of technology in the face of nature’s power. It also inspired numerous books, films, and documentaries, making it a lasting cultural phenomenon.

The Titanic’s story is not just about a shipwreck; it’s about the people who were aboard—both the wealthy and the poor—and the decisions that led to their fates. It’s a tale of courage and cowardice, tragedy and survival, and lessons learned from a dark chapter in maritime history.
Conclusion: An Enduring Mystery and a Cautionary Tale

Over a hundred years later, the question remains: What really happened on the day the Titanic sank? While we may never know every detail of that tragic night, we do know that it has left an indelible mark on our collective memory. As technology continues to advance, the Titanic reminds us that no matter how “unsinkable” we believe something to be, there is always room for humility, caution, and respect for the forces beyond our control.

If you found this article insightful, feel free to share it with others to shed light on one of history’s most compelling mysteries!

BusinessNigeria’s Oil Journey: From Discovery To Global Player by 9jaHustler(op): 12:42pm On Sep 07, 2024
Nigeria’s oil industry has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s economic and political landscape. From its discovery in the 1950s to its status as Africa’s largest oil producer, Nigeria’s journey with oil is a story of both promise and challenge, marked by a complex interplay of local and global dynamics.

In this article, we delve into the fascinating history of oil in Nigeria, exploring how this valuable resource was discovered, how it transformed the nation, and the impact it continues to have today.

The Discovery of Oil: The Early Days (1908–1956)

The story of oil in Nigeria begins in the early 20th century. The first efforts to explore for oil began in 1908, when the Nigerian Bitumen Corporation conducted exploratory drilling in what is now Ondo State. These early efforts, however, were largely unsuccessful, and interest in Nigeria’s oil potential waned for several decades.

A significant breakthrough came in 1937 when Shell D’Arcy, a subsidiary of the Royal Dutch Shell Group, was granted a license to explore for oil across the entire territory of Nigeria. However, World War II temporarily halted all exploration activities. After the war, Shell-BP (a joint venture between Shell and British Petroleum) resumed its search for oil in the Niger Delta, a region known for its complex network of rivers and wetlands.

On January 15, 1956, Shell-BP made a historic discovery at Oloibiri, a small village in the Niger Delta, in present-day Bayelsa State. This was the first commercial oil discovery in Nigeria, marking the beginning of the country’s journey as an oil-producing nation. By 1958, Nigeria exported its first shipment of crude oil to international markets, a moment that would set the stage for its future economic development.
The Oil Boom: Growth and Expansion (1960s–1970s)

The 1960s and 1970s marked a period of rapid growth for Nigeria’s oil industry. After gaining independence in 1960, Nigeria sought to maximize the potential of its newfound resource. Several international oil companies, including Mobil, Chevron, Agip, and Texaco, entered the Nigerian market, securing exploration licenses and beginning their own drilling operations.

By the early 1970s, oil production had reached over 2 million barrels per day, catapulting Nigeria into the ranks of the world’s leading oil producers. In 1971, Nigeria joined the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), signaling its emergence as a major player in the global oil market.

The oil boom brought immense wealth to Nigeria, but it also had significant social and political consequences. The government, now heavily reliant on oil revenues, began to neglect other sectors of the economy, such as agriculture and manufacturing. This over-reliance on oil set the stage for future economic challenges, particularly during periods of fluctuating global oil prices.

The Impact of the Oil Boom: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1970s–1990s)

While the oil boom provided Nigeria with substantial revenues, it also exposed the country to a range of economic and political challenges. The sudden influx of oil wealth led to widespread corruption, with much of the revenue being siphoned off by government officials and elites. The phenomenon of the “resource curse” began to take hold, where instead of fostering development, the presence of valuable natural resources contributed to political instability and conflict.

The situation worsened with the decline in oil prices in the 1980s, which hit Nigeria’s economy hard. The fall in revenue exposed the country’s over-dependence on oil exports, leading to economic downturns, debt crises, and social unrest. By the 1990s, Nigeria was struggling with high inflation, unemployment, and a crumbling infrastructure, all while oil continued to dominate its economy.

Environmental and Social Challenges in the Niger Delta (1980s–2000s)

The oil industry’s impact was particularly felt in the Niger Delta, the region that produced most of Nigeria’s oil. For the local communities, the discovery of oil brought not prosperity, but environmental degradation, pollution, and social unrest. Oil spills, gas flaring, and land degradation devastated local agriculture and fishing, which were the main sources of livelihood for many communities.

Tensions between local communities, the Nigerian government, and oil companies grew over issues of resource control, environmental damage, and revenue distribution. By the 1990s, militant groups in the Niger Delta began to emerge, demanding greater local control over oil resources and compensation for environmental damages. These conflicts occasionally led to violence, kidnappings, and sabotage of oil installations, further complicating the landscape of Nigeria’s oil industry.

Reforms and the Modern Era: A New Beginning? (2000s–Present)

In the 2000s, Nigeria embarked on several reforms to address the challenges facing its oil industry. The government created the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in 2000 to promote sustainable development in the region and began to work on a series of oil sector reforms aimed at increasing transparency and accountability.

In 2010, Nigeria launched the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act, which aimed to increase local participation in the oil industry and ensure that Nigerians benefited more directly from their natural resources. Despite these efforts, challenges such as corruption, oil theft, and environmental issues persist.

In 2021, Nigeria passed the long-awaited Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which seeks to restructure the industry, attract more investment, and provide a clearer framework for revenue sharing between the government, oil companies, and host communities. The PIA has been seen as a crucial step toward modernizing Nigeria’s oil industry and addressing some of its longstanding challenges.
The Future of Oil in Nigeria: Opportunities and Challenges

Today, Nigeria remains Africa’s largest oil producer, but the future of its oil industry is uncertain. The global shift towards renewable energy and a low-carbon future presents both challenges and opportunities for Nigeria. As the world moves away from fossil fuels, Nigeria faces the task of diversifying its economy and reducing its dependence on oil revenues.

At the same time, Nigeria has significant untapped potential in its natural gas reserves, which could serve as a bridge fuel in the transition to cleaner energy sources. With the right policies and investments, Nigeria could leverage its gas resources to support economic growth and energy security.

Conclusion: A Complex Legacy

The history of oil in Nigeria is a complex one, marked by both immense potential and profound challenges. From its discovery in Oloibiri to its position as a global oil player, Nigeria’s oil story is intertwined with its social, political, and economic fabric. As Nigeria looks to the future, it must navigate the challenges of a changing energy landscape while seeking to ensure that its oil wealth benefits all its people.

BusinessThe Strange And Mysterious Disappearance Of Bitcoin Founder Satoshi Nakamoto by 9jaHustler(op):
The mystery surrounding Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of Bitcoin, has intrigued the world for over a decade. Who is Satoshi? Why did they vanish? And where are they now? These questions have fueled countless theories, debates, and investigations. In this article, we delve into the strange and mysterious disappearance of the person (or group) behind the world’s first cryptocurrency, exploring the clues, theories, and possible reasons behind this enduring enigma.

The Rise of Bitcoin and the Appearance of Satoshi Nakamoto
In 2008, an individual or group using the pseudonym “Satoshi Nakamoto” published a white paper titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.” The paper outlined a revolutionary new form of digital currency that operated without a central authority, promising to transform the financial world. In January 2009, Satoshi released the first version of the Bitcoin software and mined the “genesis block,” officially launching the Bitcoin network.

For the next two years, Satoshi was actively involved in the development of Bitcoin. They communicated with other developers, responded to emails, and posted on online forums, always maintaining a distinct yet enigmatic presence. Then, in April 2011, Satoshi Nakamoto sent a final email to a developer stating that they had “moved on to other things.” After that, they vanished without a trace, leaving the world to wonder: Who was Satoshi Nakamoto, and why did they disappear?

The Theories: Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto?
The true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto has remained a mystery since the beginning. Over the years, numerous theories have emerged, each claiming to solve the puzzle.

The Individual Genius Theory: Some believe that Satoshi Nakamoto was a single brilliant individual with deep knowledge in cryptography, computer science, and economics. A few names have been proposed, such as Hal Finney, a computer scientist who was one of the first people to work on Bitcoin, and Nick Szabo, a cryptographer known for his work on digital currency. Both have denied being Satoshi, and no conclusive evidence has emerged to prove otherwise.

The Team Effort Theory: Another popular theory is that Satoshi Nakamoto was not one person but a group of people. Given the complexity of Bitcoin’s design and its impeccable coding, some argue that it is unlikely that one person alone could have created it. This theory suggests that a team of experts from various fields collaborated to create Bitcoin, using the name “Satoshi Nakamoto” as a cover.

The Government Conspiracy Theory: There are even more far-fetched theories that suggest Satoshi Nakamoto could have been a government agency or a group backed by a state. Some proponents of this theory argue that Bitcoin could have been a tool to monitor financial transactions, destabilize fiat currencies, or serve other geopolitical purposes. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims.
Why Did Satoshi Nakamoto Disappear?
While Satoshi’s identity remains a mystery, many wonder why they chose to disappear so suddenly. Here are some of the most plausible reasons:

Desire for Privacy: Satoshi Nakamoto may have valued privacy above all else. Creating a decentralized currency that operates without a central authority could be seen as a way to challenge existing financial systems, which may have invited unwanted attention from governments and regulatory bodies. By disappearing, Satoshi ensured that their identity remained hidden, avoiding potential legal issues, personal threats, or public scrutiny.

Philosophical Beliefs: Another theory suggests that Satoshi’s disappearance was in line with their ideological beliefs. Bitcoin was designed to be a decentralized system, independent of any central authority, including its creator. By stepping away, Satoshi allowed Bitcoin to grow organically, without a single person or entity controlling it, thereby embodying the very principles of decentralization and autonomy that Bitcoin stands for.

Fear of Repercussions: Satoshi’s creation posed a direct challenge to the traditional financial system. By enabling people to transfer money without intermediaries, Bitcoin could potentially undermine banks and regulatory authorities. Satoshi may have feared legal or political consequences, especially in a world where financial authorities might view Bitcoin as a threat to their control. Disappearing could have been a way to avoid becoming a target.

Ensuring Bitcoin’s Survival: By remaining anonymous and disappearing, Satoshi may have aimed to ensure Bitcoin’s survival. If their identity was known, they could be pressured or coerced into making changes to the protocol, or they might face attacks that could destabilize the network. By leaving the project in the hands of the community, Satoshi might have wanted to reinforce the notion that Bitcoin belongs to everyone, not just one individual.

The Legacy of Satoshi Nakamoto’s Disappearance
Despite the many theories surrounding Satoshi’s identity and disappearance, one thing is clear: their decision to vanish has only added to Bitcoin’s mystique and legend. By removing themselves from the picture, Satoshi has allowed Bitcoin to evolve without the influence or bias of a single person. This has helped to solidify its reputation as a truly decentralized digital currency, immune to external control.

Moreover, Satoshi’s disappearance has made Bitcoin more resilient. Without a central figurehead, there is no one to target, subpoena, or arrest. This has made Bitcoin’s mission to remain a decentralized and censorship-resistant currency more credible.

Could Satoshi Nakamoto Ever Return?
The possibility of Satoshi’s return continues to captivate the imagination of the cryptocurrency community. Some speculate that Satoshi might make a comeback if Bitcoin’s future is at risk, or if they wish to reveal their identity to the world. Others believe Satoshi is gone for good, either by choice or circumstance.

Interestingly, Satoshi’s Bitcoin wallet, which contains over 1 million BTC (worth billions of dollars today), has never been touched. This inactivity suggests that if Satoshi is alive, they have chosen to remain in the shadows, perhaps to avoid detection or to maintain the mystery surrounding their identity.

Conclusion: The Enigma of Satoshi Nakamoto Lives On
The strange and mysterious disappearance of Satoshi Nakamoto has become an enduring enigma in the world of cryptocurrency. Their creation has sparked a financial revolution, but their identity remains one of the greatest mysteries of the digital age. As Bitcoin continues to grow and evolve, the legend of Satoshi Nakamoto will only become more intriguing.

Until Satoshi is found—or chooses to reveal themselves—their disappearance will remain a topic of endless fascination, debate, and speculation. The world may never know the true story behind Bitcoin’s mysterious creator, but the impact of their work will be felt for generations to come.

If you enjoyed this article, feel free to share it and keep the conversation going about one of the most captivating mysteries in the world of cryptocurrency!

There is currently a very high increase in the rate of Facebook page theft. The simple reason is that content creators are cashing out big time from Facebook currently.

There are many people now wanting to get a bite of the Facebook cash, however growing a new page to meet the requirement for in-stream ad monetization is now far more difficult than it used to be. Many new people in the game are looking for pages to buy, so there is a high demand for Facebook pages which has also fueled the high rate of theft.

In this video, I explained in simple terms and pigeon English how these scammers succeed in stealing people's pages.

Facebook Pages are worth so much today so safeguard your page.

University of Salford is a cool place.

As per job you will hunt like others and will get something. Not as easy as it used to be but you will find jobs. Bear in mind that the most common and easy to find jobs for people who are new in town is either care or warehouse jobs.

With regards to accommodation, Salford can be a little high, but most people move to nearby towns like Leigh and others where they can easily get to school with one bus or two.

EducationITS OFFICIAL: UK International Students Cannot Bring Families along anymore by 9jaHustler(op): 2:55pm On May 23, 2023

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zloYIENrCmE

International students will no longer be able to bring dependants with them unless they are on postgraduate courses that are currently designated as research programmes.

The package will also remove the ability for international students to switch out of the student route and into work routes before their studies have been completed "to prevent misuse of the visa system", the government said.

As well as removing this right, there will also be a review of the maintenance requirement for students and dependents and a crackdown on "unscrupulous" education agents "who make use of inappropriate applications to sell immigration, not education".

The changes will come into effect for students starting their courses from January 2024 in order to allow future international students time to plan ahead.

'How many strikes before she is out?' - pressure mounts on PM to launch Braverman probe - politics latest

In a written ministerial statement published today, Home Secretary Suella Braverman said recent immigration figures had shown an "unexpected rise" in the number of dependants coming to the UK alongside international students.

Ms Braverman said the increase was made after the government made its commitment to lower net migration.

The 2019, when net migration stood at 226,000, the Conservative manifesto committed to making sure "overall numbers come down".

Ms Braverman said that while the government's strategy around international education "plays an important part in supporting the economy", it should "not be at the expense of our commitment to the public to lower overall migration".

"This package strikes the right balance between acting decisively on tackling net migration and protecting the economic benefits that students can bring to the UK," she said.

"Now is the time for us to make these changes to ensure an impact on net migration as soon as possible. We expect this package to have a tangible impact on net migration. Taken together with the easing of temporary factors, we expect net migration to fall to pre-pandemic levels in the medium term."

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan said attracting top students "isn't just good for our universities - it's essential for our economy and building vital global relationships".

"But the number of family members being brought to the UK by students has risen significantly," she added.

"It is right we are taking action to reduce this number while maintaining commitment to our international education strategy, which continues to enrich the UK's education sector and make a significant contribution to the wider economy."

The announcement comes as government comes under mounting pressure over migration figures - an issue that has reportedly caused splits in the cabinet.

Official statistics due to be published later this week are expected to show that net migration has increased from 504,000 in the 12 months to June 2022 to more than 700,000 in the year to December.

Ms Braverman recently made a speech at the National Conservatism conference in which she said the UK needed to "get overall immigration numbers down", adding: "We mustn't forget how to do things for ourselves."
