The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday reacted as President Muhammadu Buhari threatened those plotting to snatch ballot boxes during the general elections.

President Buhari had made it clear that anyone who tries to disrupt the electoral process, will be doing so “at the expense of his own life”.

Reacting, PDP said the remark was a direct call for jungle justice which was aimed at directing the attention of the public.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP accused the Buhari’s Presidency and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to trigger widespread political crisis to derail Nigeria’s democratic process by plunging “our nation into anarchy.”

President Buhari, has apologised to his Supporters and Nigerians in general over the postponement of today’s elections by INEC. The information was disclosed by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Bashir Ahmed.

“President @MBuhari apologizes to his supporters and Nigerians in general especially those who traveled far and near to cast their votes, for INEC inefficiency that caused unexpected postponement of the general elections. #NigeraDecides “

Buhari has earlier today disclosed his disappointment over the postponement of the elections by INEC which was earlier scheduled for today.

Top Nigerian Rapper Mi Abaga has revealed how Wizkid rejected “stupid money” during the elections. MI made this revelation during Pulse Ng loose talk podcast.

In the interview he explained how he was in a meeting with Wizkid, Olamide and other Musicians.

There Wizkid was offered “stupid money” to explain how big the amount was, and huge deals, but was rejected by Wizkid.

He explained that Wizkid said he was going to remain neutral and not let anyone influence his decision.

Mi stated there were other musicians at the gathering, who were loosing themselves over the same money.

Remember Wizkid had previously advised his fans not to let politicians influence their votes during this election.

The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has raised the alarm over an alleged plan by President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu.

CUPP also alleged that President Buhari wants to replace Yakubu with Amina Zakari as Acting Chairman under the guise of INEC inability to conduct the presidential and National Assembly elections today.

According to CUPP, Buhari wants to sack INEC Chairman for refusing to conduct staggered election today.

In a statement to DAILY POST on Saturday, by its National Spokesperson, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, CUPP said the Buhari-led APC sabotaged INEC distribution of materials and turned back to condemn the electoral umpire.
The political parties, however, warned that the move to sack INEC chairman will throw Nigeria into full electoral and constitutional crisis.

Barely 48 hours after the former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, called the Nigerian President and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, on phone to wish Nigeria and Nigerians well ahead of tomorrow’s general elections.

The United States’ secretary of state, Michael Pompeo, has equally put through a call to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

He affirmed the international community’s commitment to free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.

Atiku made the disclosure on his twitter handle on Friday.

President Buhari has in a new interview with CNN’s David Mckenzie, boasted that nobody will unseat him in the upcoming election.

Buhari who expressed confidence in his reelection bid in the interview with CNN’s David Mckenzie, stated that nobody will unseat him as President when asked if he thinks Jonathan’s fate might befall him in tomorrow’s election.

“No, nobody will unseat me,” he replied tersely

The president was also asked if he has stamina for another four years, to which he responded: “Yes, I am ready for it”.

He was also asked about the menace of Boko Haram terrorist in the country, which he responded by stating that they have been weakened. he highlighted that in 2015, the terrorist were holding 17 out of the 774 local government in the country, but dont have any under their control today.
