Before we hire a lineman at my place of work, they must be able to drive a Truck. Getting the training for truck license alone is pricey and alot still fail the driving exam. If they don't get the license within by the end of the probation period, they are let go.

Linesmen are not electrician. They are a trade on their own. Even with OT, they would make around 150k to 200k a year, but their body go tell since it's not easy working outside in the elements (cold and heat). It's a very tough job as well as they need a truckers license plus being strong enough to use pipe wrench to turn bolts and nuts when impact driver do not work.
Without overtime, they make just over 100k which is around that $50/hour.

A family doctor would make around 220-240k a year without OT. A specialist doctor like a surgeon would make around $250k to $400k or more without OT.

In the UK or US, doctors don't earn minimum wage. They earn a professional wage which is equal to their skillset.

Thank you for educating people that stay in a small town in Nigeria calculating other people's salary abroad.

There is no guarantee of such jobs being steady through the year.

As of Mar 12, 2024, the average hourly pay for a Lineman in the United States is $34.51 an hour.

The lineman is not going to work 24 hours so stop calculate like a proper greedy Nigerian.
