Domainer1999:Thank you. Just got mine done right now also. |
Omokenny12:Yup! Even the image compliance test brings same message. |
adibo:Chief, you aren't getting the point - if the new fees aren't paid, how will the government uphold the passport's integrity and efficiency, ehn?! ![]() They aff off picture upload until Monday. ![]() |
Ziyech:No. Haven't been able to since Friday. |
ify2016:Oh well... Nigeria Nigeria! Expect Police Character to follow suit sometime. |
ify2016:You welcome. Please mention me (on how you got past it) if you get any luck as I'm stuck at the pic upload stage. Thanks. |
kenneyyice:Same here. Nothing yet. ![]() |
ify2016:You should. Hopefully, you can get past the photo upload aspect. |
Domainer1999:A properly lit photograph was used. It passed the photo compliance test on same immigration website. For illustration purpose, the error message is attached. You might notice no specific issue related to picture was mentioned.
|
kenneyyice:Good morning, chief. Any luck eventually? I'm in same boat! ![]() |
Domainer1999:Hi, I doubt this has anything to do with picture quality or lighting issues. I've been dealing with same issue since thursday night as well. A picture that passed test compliance couldn't be uploaded. Was up for almost 2hours in the middle of the night hoping it will go through but kept getting same message - "picture upload processing couldn't be processed at this time" |
JaceyOpara:Hi, appreciate the response. It's been fixed. There was actually a mistake with the person's date of birth. Thank you. |
I tried registering for a new passport application this afternoon and it's saying NIN is invalid - tried again right now and it's still same. Has anyone else experienced it or it's from their website? Thanks Note: NIN entered is correct and valid. |
Desmart001:Sounds like you'd rather avoid a research proposal? Lol, it's not much of a big deal as you think. And I doubt you won't come across it (regardless of school) either before or after admission or even during your studies. Same as precas interviews; both are here to stay I guess. |
samintegrity:It's Bolton - I applied to multiple schools for same May intake. Only issue is I can't promise that May intake is still available but you can check/try. |
samintegrity:Hi, my guess... either Wolverhampton or UCLan. I got same which made me go with another school that already gave me an unconditional offer. The speed at which the slots are being occupied?! ![]() Preparations for September intake starts immediately after May so no big deal as it's almost here. |
chrisifeanyi:After applying for a visa, you will be invited for biometrics capture. That is when your passport will be collected. You get it back when a decision has been made on your application. Hope that helps. |
Olubi15:University of Wolverhampton's M.Res programs are done for the year as they have no September intakes. Just M.Sc. programs available for September. |
Weyrezee:Not yet. |
BenNash:I stand corrected but chances of you getting into a Nordic country is extremely low. Nor be by YouTube content creators o lol. All thanks to your leaders. |
BenNash:Lol, the first bolded is very true and that is why I advise you have all or almost all of your tuition amount before leaving. My sister suffered the same experience and I had to sell my vehicle as at that time to help raise money to meet her deadline. But in sincerity, in a lot and most cases I've seen, it always end in praise eventually. Same sis made purchases of almost a thousand pounds in prep for her graduation ceremony a few days ago. A huge advantage of the UK is that if you're intentional and have the money, you will leave Nigeria in 4 - 6 months as long as you meet the entry and financial requirements. The UK is standing on business and their study route presently, is one of the fastest way out of this shit hole BUT VERY EXPENSIVE. Cons: 1. As with almost every change, the begining is rarely ever smooth. 2. If you do not have a partner with you that will work his/butt off while you work part time, YOU WILL SUFFER EVERY HARDSHIP IMAGINABLE because as a full time student, it is almost impossible to raise the remainder of your tuition fees as you're only limited to work for 20hrs weekly. I have to agree with your stand on the open University dilemma, I think I ve come across a school or two that do not accept it so it might be wise to engage one of the traditional schools just to be on the safe side. Playing the long game will be your best bet. On a side note, let's assume you get lucky and find yourself dating an already admitted student into a an MRes/MPhil/PhD program in the UK, just be her dependant. Con side of this, is in case you both fight and she gets you off her visa, you have 60days to get a new sponsorship. I'll assume you're smart and can find your way around this if so be the case. ✌️ |
tensazangetsu20:Nice input and thanks for the clarification. @BenNash, Same undergraduate study in the UK is extremely expensive as you will be needing to pay IHS fees for the entire duration of your studies (i.e. over 1300 pounds X3) and that is excluding initial deposit, flight ticket, accommodation and other miscellaneous costs. What of getting a job to fund the remaining years? - you will cry blood. Note: this is not to scare you but only get you prepared mentally and financially. If you have the means, by all means carry on please. Otherwise, as OP as said, finishing a degree here won't be bad. You'll be playing the long game - there's the open University and/or other part time classes to engage in. Also keep getting your money as Nigeria will most definitely have deteriorated much further by the time you're done. And finally, congratulations Tensa and may the earth continue to favor you. You are a big inspiration and I always look forward to your wins. Special shout out to qtguru also - I can't wait for him to be all he can be and strive in his full glory. And lest I forget, e sure me die sey the w.erey Hungarian and OS politician are weeping bitterly as their life don finally spoil Las Las. My the Lord continue to give you the might and will to keep germinating this violence on a steady and by all means continue to press their necks, so they can quickly ha.ng themselves if they're so bitter about their lives. |
Weyrezee:Your visa is most likely approved. >50% sure of that. Congratulations in advance. |
BenNash:I wouldn't want you to rule out the study route. At 27, you aren't too old to study again. Luckily you have some amount of savings and also have a skilled role with steady income. N10m should be up to or almost 5000 pounds so if I were you, I'd try to save that in FX so you don't lose its value. You can look into studies and also, I think they have a nomad visa which you should qualify for. As much as nothing is impossible, the present day reality is that leaving Nigeria is very difficult as of today. Same Brazil, my best friend applied to since October last year through the family reunion route (her elder brother is a Brazilian citizen and he handled everything from over there. She hasn't gotten her passport back and it's crickets from the embassy). Another route is studying in the UK but every step is expensive and money inclined. They are only and seriously interested in your money. And finally, if you go the study route, better to have all of your tuition fee before leaving because surviving as a student is hard enough unless you're going with a partner and he/she can work full time. Cheers. |
Froshloaded:Most MRes degrees are actually Level 7. "postgraduate/higher research degree" is actually what qualifies them to permit you bring in dependents. |
chrisifeanyi:I stand corrected though but I highly doubt they do. Schools I am aware of (which are well publicized also) are Universities of Bolton, Wolverhampton, Central Lancashire and Gloucestershire. |
Iansunderland:Apt. Thank you. |
Iansunderland:Thanks for you input, chief. Just to be sure I understand you correctly, I'll go with this dumbed down example - Say, I've had the money in my account for at least 28 days, then I make my visa application. You mean, I can take out some of the money for a major expense and that will not affect my visa decision, right? Thanks in advance. |
GoAbroad25:I find the bolded insulting but I'll assume you didn't understand what I wrote. So, I'll explain further. Some agents (not all) charge a bit of fee to help applicants. Presently, I'm using one for mine and I paid. Same thing my sis did last year. How did you reach the conclusion that I'm an agent and criminal? |
Osasuonaghinor:Good morning. I'd like to add that it's common for them to charge non refundable fees of around 50k in most cases. I'm sure some other people will agree to having paid a bit of fee also. |
