Come on Spencer is just Spencer. The reality is simple from what I've gathered. Though I'm not claiming to be 100% but look at the situation contrarily. The girl (who she was then) was conned and as she entered those doors which were shut behind her and couldn't get out. Don't forget both of them wanted to call it off but it was too late but by going in she felt she could make it work despite knowing Camilla was always there. She confessed to being desperate and jealous(why wouldn't she be at that age) at the end she accepted defeat. She and Charles were very good friends and Co-parents, and she would still have welcomed a reconciliation even after everything(just without Camila or any mistress). Her biggest mistake was falling in love heels and toes to Charles. They were both victims and coped with the unhappiness differently. There was a time though when they both gave it a try and expressed it publicly which no one can deny. She was a moderniser and we all know how royalty doesn't like that, one thing is for sure though her death 'conveniently' opened doors which at the end proved she wasn't paranoid, mad, or whatever they said she was, and we all know she was SAVAGE too in the way she wanted to rub mud in their face with her looking for every opportunity to show the Windsors she's still doing well and even better without them(Classic Di for you).
