They need multigrid solution add more sources energy besides natural gas and hydro. Coal and solar options. Hydro is good but we have to kick back electricity to Niger and togo.

According to him, “The electricity supply in Badagry used to be really bad, but in the last three weeks, it has improved and this has helped me a lot in various ways. The amount I spend on fuelling my generators has significantly reduced and this has helped in reducing my daily expenditure profile.

[s] moshino: Babatunde Raji Fashola , Nigeria’s Minister for Power, Works and Housing on Tuesday while unveiling his plans praised the achievements of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Fashola during his first news conference tagged “Setting the Agenda for Delivering Change” said that Goodluck Jonathan has constructed more roads than any president ever in Nigeria.
He also acknowledged that the Transformation in the power sector is above 50 % and that he would try to build on it.
Minister of State for Works, Adebayo Adeyeye, also said that Jonathan’s administration has recorded more success in the provision of motorable roads than any other administration in the history of Nigeria.
Adeyeye, who spoke as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Monday, insisted that the Jonathan administration has made considerable progress in the road sector, more than any of the governments that have administered the country. According to him, the administration in 2011 had about 4,500 kilometres of fairly motorable roads, just as he explained that today the administration has about 25,000 kilometres of very good roads.
http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/jonathan-constructed-more-roads-than-any-other-nigerian-president-fashola/ [/s] Fashola says Jonathan has failed Nigerians, and as such, does not deserve a second term in office as president of Nigeria.
He made the comments on Tuesday, February 10, during the All Progressives Congress campaign rally in the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area.
According to the governor, the President was making things worse, by claiming to have constructed 25,000km roads within Nigeria, when “the distance from Lagos to London is just over 5,000km”.
He said, “President Goodluck Jonathan said he constructed 25,000 kilometres roads in the country. Now, the distance from Lagos to London is just over 5,000km. What the claim by the President means is that they have constructed a road from Lagos to London five times. But the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that is 404km and has not been done. So where did they see the 25,000km roads?
http://ynaija.com/where-did-jonathan-construct-25000km-of-roads-gov-fashola-cant-believe-what-hes-hearing/ Silly ipob blog site fabricated lies. Fashola actually ridiculed and lambasted GEJ and PDP with their road lies... Please go away with that ipob trash... |

lol @ obingo the scammer... 1. It's nothing but propaganda 2. Anambra is a poor and broke state and doesn't have such funds to run the laundry list he's trying to fool people with 3. Abandoning IGR/Taxes with dwindling Federal allocations is foolish, reckless and ill advised and he can not even sustain such idiocy since the state doesn't have any meaningful economic activities or industrial base to bring in extra income. 4. Dashing money away while hoping the recipients invest the money is not only naive, it's dumb, irresponsible and just strange. You are basically dashing out free money with zero returns unless the money is tied down to conditions and requirements.. 5. Cutting back on taxes and IGR means losing money while dashing money away at the same time 6. In recessions, you do direct investments in infrastructures and even if you are going to give our free money, you have to make sure your tax base is expanded and collection is enforced instead of doing the opposite especially in a poor and economically depressed state that's generating meager N1.1 billion monthly. But hey, it's nothing but peopaganda anyways... nothing more. Obingo scam.... |

FG sets to rehabilitate Enugu-Onitsha expressway
ABUJA – Relief is on the way for motorists and other users going through agonies plying the terribly dilapidated Enugu-Onitsha expressway South East zone as the Federal Government has commenced the process for the rehabilitation of the highway. Information available to Vanguard indicated that the government was considering giving out the reconstruction of the dual carriageway project to a competent construction firm under the Public Private Partnership, PPP, scheme.
A dependable source informed Vanguard that the process to give the highway a new look has started during a recent meeting between the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Wilie Obiano in Awka, the state capital. Vanguard learnt that Mr. Fashola while expressing concerns over the deplorable state of the road resolved that the Governor should look for a very competent and reliable construction firm that can handle the rehabilitation works for possible approval
