One dangerous thing about defaulting a loan is that you won't be given visa if you don't pay it back most especially if the companies who loaned you money are registered and have CBN's operational license. They'll just flag down you BVN and you're done.

Even major jobs (local and foreign) wouldn't employ you cos your BVN is the first thing they'll request for and if it's flagged down, they'll see you as not being credit worthy and reject your application.

When I started my American Visa application, they first question the agent who helped me resize my photograph asked me is if I was owing any loan company. He even told me to check the CRC website with me BVN just to be sure that I'm clean. Cos I can be denied visa.

So don't think you're playing smart by not paying back. You find a way to settle them and avoid collecting loans. It's for your own good.
