Is not easy at all.
I experienced it for good number of months if not year.
I couldn't figure out the cause then. Though, I lost my wife prior to the insomnia issue...
I did not know what later worked for me.
But I remembered I was engaged with a physiotherapist. Asides from daily scheduled talk time with him, he also recommended that:
-I take warm milk before bed.
- Do away with anything screen ( phone, TV and notice)
- Be on the bed at your bed time even if not feeling sleepy.
..

These are some of things I can remember.

My was terrible then that I will not sleep all through the night and not even in the afternoon.
I wish you quick recovery from this.

Don't do anything please. Nothing is wrong with the baby. Babies achieve milestones at different time. He will walk very soon. They can get him a walker too if they can afford it.
